Tell wit he is in our prayers for what happened to him at State, from what I hear he had some massive screws put to him. That is such a shame. How is he handling it? I will look for him tonight...if he comes.

What about Shawnee Wrestlers? Many of them had a great year. Did any of them qualify for State?

They did not fair too well as Rider, Washam, Irons, and Geiger each won one match. The draws where not that bad just did not wrestle well. Washam had a broken leg he tried to wrestle with the last two weeks and could not overcome the injury at districts. Kudos for trying but an unfortunate injury late in the year. Congrats to the boys for a solid year.

Things get tough at the district level. 23 kids making it out in the 3 divisions combined is a pretty decent number. People have to remember that a good record and year in western Ohio does not always translate to state apperances. The reality is that our area of Ohio is not as strong as a lot of others. In fact we are in one of the weaker districts in the state. So if you dont wrestle out of the area much and see that other tough competition it is a rude awakening at the district tourneys. But I would agree that there were a few names from a few different schools that surprised me by missing the top 4. Hopefully it will be the extra incentive to help them push that much harder in the off season and reach their goals next year.

Congrats to all those that did make it through and good luck as you prepare for one more run at placement!

I don't think Mitch Beemer is from Bath and I think Logan Erb is from Wapak. Not totally sure, but that just doesn't look right.

Pin and Coach Inglis, thanks for the insite. I wasn't aware of that inform. I do know about Washam and was amazed to hear he won his match the day he snapped the bone. Very tough kid. Much luck to him next year and hope he takes it all the way.

yea, Kyler's injury was a tough break (bad pun, i know). He was having one heck of a year. But I know his attitude and he will be ready to come back strong next season. It's just fourtunate that he has another year left. It's always heart breaking to see a senior that has an injury like that and cant reach his goal to make it to state.
