Ohio State won the NIT, and was carried by Jamar all season...they went as he went, so does that automatically make him an NBA player, or will he not make it in the draft and go to Europe or something?

Those are some good questions and interesting ones as well. I for one would love to see him go Pro. I think he could make it!! He has the heart, desire and the drive to do what it takes to get him where he wants to go. Best of luck to Jamar. thumbup1.gif It was great watching him grow up at Lima Shawnee and then making it big at tOSU!! He's a fantastic young man!!

I got to see Butler break his school record for points in a game against Greenville.. the funny thing was we were up at half 56-50... the finally score was 107-72.. Butler had 30 points in the second half to push on his team..
I want to see him go pro

I would love to see Jamar get a shot at the NBA, but I don't think we will. He is a very good point guard, but NBA does not look at too many 6' point guards. Now I know Conley, Carmello and a few others have made it in the NBA being in the 6' range, but there are too many taller and quicker point guards out there. I do think he could be a good role player for some team, but I feel Jamar's basketball future lies in Europe.

adog, carmello's prolly about 6'7 or 6'8 and a forward. there are lots of 6' gaurds, nash, kid, alston, fisher, and more. he's got everthing you need to make it. he's always looking for the open man, he knows when to drive and put it up or kick it out, sometimes it's like he knows what's going to happen before it does, and he's a quick learner and can adjust when needed. the only thing that i question is his speed, i don't know if he could keep up. i can see someone taking him in the late second. i enjoyed the big battles with the pollitz's and OG in high school but never got to see him at osu but hope to see him in the future in the nba.

Butler will be an undrafted free agent and have to go the Europe route.
He doesn't have the consistent deep range, ability to attack the basket, defensive skills, or footspeed for the L.

Carmello that tall?!? I was thinking 6'3" tops and I stand corrected. Guess I should fololow NBA more...lol.......thx. Still though...I just don't think Jamar will get drafted, but I hope he proves me wrong. If he makes it to the NBA, it will be free agent route.

Nash is 6'3'' and kid is 6'4'' there aren't many gaurds that make it at 6' but i hope he does.

i was guessing on them two but what about alston, fisher, iverson, lou, and snow? wouldn't it be cool if butler and pollitz went to europe together and played on the same team?

Would it be nice if it happened? OF COURSE!! Will it? Questionable at best. Heck I can think of VERY few Lima area athletes that make it in the bigs in ANY sport. Caity Matter (didn't play very long) Jennifer Phillips from Elida (thinking she got drafted but can't remember if she played) Darren Reese from Elida Ryan Diepenbrock from Bath (had a job with the Bills till a coach or owners kid got his spot)...just a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Bill Macualiff (sp?) played a short time in NBA, then in the old CBA. There happen to be a few Lima athletes that played pro. I know there was a baseball player and I cannot think of his name right now, but played for San Diego.
