Now that Holgate and a few others have committed to an 8-man team, will it instigate other smaller schools/teams to do the same in the near future?

I don't think it will be wide spread right away, but if other schools in likewise situations see it succeeding, then yes, I could think of a few local schools that may consider it

I heard Toledo Christian is playing 8 man and Sandusky St Mary is also doing that this year as their numbers are too low for regular play. OHSAA does not recognize 8 man football but they will be able to play some games against Ohio and Michigan teams at least. Tough part is St Mary just decided this yesterday so now teams on their schedule are scrambling to get a replacement game set up.

Better get use to it! More will follow. Have watched it a couple times and you really don't notice a difference after the game starts. Field is smaller.
I don't see a big deal with it.

I don’t see a big deal with it either. I doubt if many current non-football schools institute football if OHSAA accepts the 8 man team in the future because of the amount of money it takes to start up a program. I assume the interest will be in the sparsely populated areas like in the northwest and southeastern part of the state.
