Gran Torino was good!

Very nice list of films. . . . Miller's Crossing , The Big Lebowski, and Goodfellas would
definitely make my Top Twenty List.
Very difficult to list only 10 favorites. I sat down and came up with my top 50 in about 20 minutes, but
playing within the guidelines I'll stick with a Top Ten only, with the 40 other films tied for 11th.
JB's Top Ten (alphabetically)
Blue Velvet
The Bourne Trilogy ( Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum)
The Commitments
Diner
Glengarry Glen Ross
Goodfellas
Pulp Fiction
Silence Of The Lambs
Streets Of Fire
True Romance

I forgot all about Blue Velvet. Dennis Hopper was good. I hated Glengarry Geln Ross. It felt like a song with no chorus

Yes, Dennis Hopper was great as Frank Booth, one of the most vile characters ever. Painting
lipstick on Dean Stockwell while Roy Orbison's " In Dreams" is playing is a classic.
Glengarry Glen Ross, all I can tell you is " Coffee is for closers". Nothing else matters. First
prize is a brand new Cadillac, second prize is a set of steak knives, and third prize, you have
no job.
Liked your comment on another post referencing Citizen Kane, I would bet there are not
two other posters on RocketCorner that have any idea about your reference to Rosebud ! The
typical poster on here would likely assume it's a documentary on flower arrangements. Hell, I'll
bet those two jokers from Columbus Grove still talk about going to the "picture show" on Saturday
night, right after their weekly bath.

Pulp Fiction made me realize how conversational the F word could be.
Dazed and Confused is kind of an under the radar classic
Remember the Titans replaced Rocky as the High School Sports pregame must watch.
