Hasn't been discussed on here yet, but Crestline is being scheduled off the N10 2015 football slate and now Margaretta is doing the same for the 2015 SBC football schedule. Clyde and Perkins have replaced them with new SBC member Vermilion.

Changes are a comin!
Always a watchful eyes on those Tiffin Calvert Senecas, Marion Local Flyers, Fort Loramie Redskins , New Albany Eagles.

N10 stay with 9 or add Elgin? Will the coaches revolt and force the league out of the double round robin for bball, vb,etc?

Sbc/srl merger? Read elsewhere crossover games are off the table?

I wish the WBL would get two more teams and we could have a nice WBL championship game.

Wbl championship game? This isn't college - when would they play it, before or after the bowl game?
Nice thought but not feasible for high school...

Who would want to join the WBL?

Sure it could be, 6 league games, 3 non conference, and week ten would be the matchup of the first and first in the two divisions and second and second and so on

Think I heard that this can be done.... BUT those games (1vs1. 2 vs 2) would NOT count in computer points.

So basically nobody is going to do it

That's bologna! I think it would be an exciting way to end the regular season. Is there a way to get the OHSAA to change its mind?

Yep.........money, and lots of it needs to go to the right people...a few weeks ago WOSN and WTLW had a running banner at the bottom of screen. Seemed the OHSAA wouldn't allow them to show replay until 11:30 or such nonsense....it's about the money and those Hawaiian vacations.

Rocketman, the Hawaiian vacation was purely business. The OHSAA wanted to see how athletics were run out there. They learned so much from it also. What a great educational experience. I'm so proud of the way high school sports are ran in the great state of Ohio.

I've never understood the fascination with championship games. The ONLY reason they make even the slightest bit of sense in college is because of money, but a round robin schedule is BY FAR the better decide a champion.

Look at the old Big 12 when the top 3-4 teams in the league were in the South, yet someone in the North with 3 league losses would get an honest shot at the league title. Look at the SEC East now. It's stupid. Leave it as is. Everyone plays everyone, whoever wins the most games is champion.

I could see the reaction in a potential North/South WBL this season if say, Wapak went 5-0 against their division opponents, but drew say, an OG and an LCC from the North and lost both to go 6-2 or so. Meanwhile, Kenton loses to Wapak, ends up 4-1 against their division, draws Defiance and Van Wert, and wins the division.

Beyond the already stated problem of no computer points in week 10 under that set up, the entire conference championship game system to me just lends itself to too many problems. Inbalanced schedules and inbalanced divisions most of all. If you felt like a title game was absolutely a necessity, IMO you'd be better off just taking the teams that finish 1st and 2nd in a round robin format and letting them play.

Not a whole lot of good options out there. I figure LCC would be in, but past that?

Lima Senior? Would they leave the TRAC for easier travel?
Napoleon? They've been trying for years to get into the NLL and it makes geographical sense for them. Could playing schools their size and joining Defiance be enough to convince them?
Bryan? There was a time about 40-50 years ago when the NWOAL was hell bent on getting rid of Defiance, Napoleon, AND Bryan because all 3 were so much bigger and dominated the league. It worked with Defiance and Napoleon, but these days with Bryan not exactly dominate and the league kind of evening out in terms of size, there are absolutely no grumblings of anyone there being uphappy. Again, maybe the chance to play Defiance, but they'd be adding a lot more travel and would probably be better off staying where they are.
Sidney?
Greenville?
Coldwater? It didn't work the first time but they're a lot better now. Just couldn't see them leaving the MAC.

I just don't see it. The WBL has been one of the most stable leagues in the state with no changes in 30 years or so, and it has the perfect set up with 10 teams and 9 league games. No real reason to even TRY to mess that up, unless there's 2 schools that make total sense and are easily available. That's just not there right now.

Just count games against divisional opponents towards a title?

And why worry strictly about geography?

I'd have a lot less of a problem if only divisional games were counted. The MAC did that for a few years with their divisions of 7 and 6. But it seems as if no one else even tries it.

You could play around with basically any divisional setup, but from time to time you're still gonna have the same problem. Let's break it down big school/small school. Now in my hypothetical you've got OG, Kenton, and LCC in the same division. So OG draws Defiance, Kenton draws St. Marys, LCC draws Wapak. You've still got a pretty large difference team to team there.

Idk, I guess I'm not necessarily calling anyone out who likes the system. That's up to you. I just much prefer what we have now. It's clean, it works, there's usually no controversy. It's the anti-NCAA, and that's never a bad thing.

The MAC has never used a divisional setup.

GMC needs to add a couple of teams.

Holgate and Antwerp football is a couple of years from being gone. Antwerp wont be playing varsity next year.

It kills the teams in football playing these 2 for computer points and it kills money wise. AD's are trying to make money selling tickets to balance their budget. When 2 of ur 8 bring no fans to football, track, and wrestling it kills the other schools.

Would be nice to add 2 and keep the 2 because of tradition. Paulding and Montpelier would be good choices. But maybe Convoy, Edon or Stryker.
