After some gutsy play calling in semis they get to battle for the title. I believe this is 4 years in a row the baseball team had made it to state. Quite an accomplishment.

Not really a fan but it's great to see yet another Defiance County team bring the title home!
This also means 4 of the 5 schools in Defiance County have won state baseball titles(Hicksville 1979, Ayersville 1997, Defiance 1992 and 2013). Anyone know if any other county can claim 80% of its schools with a state title in any sport?

I'm talking in the same sport. Best I can come up with for Mercer County is football and baseball with 3 of the 6. If you included EVERY sport I'd assume there's a lot more counties in the state with most or all of their schools, including adding Fairview to Defiance's list for girls basketball. But 4 of the 5 schools have now won BASEBALL titles.
