I don't think an impasse as such............I believe it is more that the individuals doing most of the work are out busy working in the fields right now.........the beans and corn
have to come off before the next bricks are laid so to speak............I've driven past it a few times over the last few months and it is one impressive building........they have to have
one of the best athletic booster organizations as far as raising money for these projects..........I believe that the gymnasium addition they did a few years ago was paid for entirely
by this group.
In this day and age it is very refreshing to see a group of men/women who are committed to doing things for the love of it.............RM

Sometimes tho it helps when people see what is being built as a way to encourage people to donate more money.

For a 3 to 4,000 sf facility?! Give me a break. That thing should have been done in 6-8 weeks and shouldn't cost that much.

Have you seen the plans for the facility?? Have you sat in on the planning sessions for it??? Have you had any input at all into its construction?? I haven't, but I know that even the smallest of facilities can take a while to build and cost more than one would think. You've gotta figure in equipment and materials delays, weather problems, labor shortage/delays, and what the plan calls for. It can take a bit of time to install plumbing and wiring, if needed, especially if everything is being done on a volunteer basis.
Sounds like more than a few volunteers are out in the fields. Get off their backs, or go over and offer to finish the project yourself.

"Plans" usually have timetables correct?

If you're curious, ask questions. Don't come off like an arrogant a-hole who thinks he knows everything.

If you'd worded that differently or used a different tone, I wouldn't have jumped on you. Plans have timetables, yes, and by all accounts this one is being followed.

I just can't believe this project was a fund as you go venture...if so, that was a mistake...

I'm pretty sure they started the whole thing.

Since nobody seems to have seen this post....I'll post it again....if you have info different than this, then let us know....if not, consider this the reason that the project seems to be stopped.

That front loader and those pallets will look very nice covered with snow this winter. Can't wait til the plastic in the windows tears and flaps around.....that's always a good look too.
