This will be an attempt to predict the event winners for the LB district meet

Shot Put- The favorite is Boes from Pandora although Schroeder and Utrup from Columbus Grove could be in the hunt

Discus-No clear cut favorite here but the throwers from Grove -Schroeder and Utrup- should be at the top along with Boes of Pandora

Long Jump- No one stands out in this event-up for grabs

High Jump- One of the best field events --both of LB's jumpers , Patrick Henry, Bluffton,Old Fort and McComb all have jumpers over 6'2" this year

Pole Vault-Keller from LB and Wolfe from Grove should battle it out here with Alexander from Old Fort, Grothaus from Grove and Cromwell from LB in the hunt----FIFTH---- place here could possibly WIN a couple of the other districts in our regional

3200 relay-Bluffton could run away with this one when they load up their team - Liberty Benton will be there as well

110 Hurdles-Luginbuhl from Bluffton is the favorite with Conkle from LB right there if he is healthy, others to watch are Hoffer from Bluffton, and Rieman from Grove

100- Weak weak field up for grabs

4 x 200- Liberty Benton should be the favorite here although this is a rather weak event at this district

1600-Again a rather weak event but Herron of Bluffton could be the favorite here-depending upon who actually runs

4 X 100- McComb and Liberty Benton should battle it out in this one with others close for the other qualifying spots

400-Rader from Cory is the favorite here

300 IH- Luginbuhl again the favorite

800-This event is so down this year due to the weather no one really stands out but either of the Bluffton runners could win this one

200-Again a weak weak field up for grabs

3200-Alexander from Old Fort should be the one to beat here but there are several others bunched in for the qualifying spots-LB, Grove and Van Buren all have runners that could make it out

4 X 400- Liberty Benton and Bluffton should battle it out in this one

Please feel free to update your projections and qualifiers to the Regional meet as I am not sure as to what district some of the teams have actually been ######igned to this year.

raisthebar, those predictions are pretty spot on (I am not real familiar with the boy's side of things). What about the Girl's side? any fearless predictions there? I may have more input on that side!

I myself have more opinions on the girls side of things. Sorry, i just don't observe the guy's that often. I do agree the sprints for the guys are now wide open, don't forget about the freshman kid who jumped over 20 at the BVC last week, he could throw a wrench into someone's plans!

Conkle is, unfortunately, not healthy. Scratched from the finals at the BVC meet. My guess, and it is just a guess, is he will not run the 300 at districts (hasn't been able to get much conditioning in while he battles that hip) and will concentrate on just getting through the 110 at districts and regionals with an eye toward getting healthier for state.

Was surprised too that Arlington goes to Spencerville. Makes more sense if they went to LB and some more west goes to Spencerville. If you move on from Spencerville you go to Lancaster.

In the 1,600 and 800 look for a strong performance from Hopewell-Loudon's Tyler Wise. The Chieftains have beaten Bluffton this year in the 4x4 should be an excellent district field. I agree though that the sprinters who qualify here may struggle at regionals.

LB for the win and Bluffton getting runner's up by a 2 point margin i think. Outstanding performnaces by all teams. Will be looking to see what regionals has to offer these teams!
