It looks like in Div. III there will be 6 boys districts in Northwest Ohio, and 5 girls districts. At least, that is what the OHSAA website is showing for Regional representation. Heard that Minster will not get a district because of this. Could be interesting if some schools boys and girls go to different district sites this year?

Why Minster? Why not Liberty Benton? They are moving to D2 and they became the 6th district a couple years ago. Why not just go back to the way it was in 2009 with districts and team assignments?

Raise, I would think this would be a district board decision regarding who holds the district meets. If what the OP was saying is true, it looks to me like LB has some significant pull on the NW district board to keep their newly district meet in exchange for Minster. Minster has great tradition in track, good facility and does a great job at running meets. They are also located further south in the NW district area and make logical sense going to the Troy regional. I would guess that the Spencerville district would be going to troy now? I seriously doubt that Minster has trouble securing officials for their district meet. As far as the state goes, looks like the SE district argued for more representation to their Lancaster Reg. meet on the girls side and won. I can understand thier arguement but seeing how the NW district reps did at Lancaster, it will be a weaker regional. Dropping the Minster district looks a lil fishy to me. I would have to hear more why this move is the best choice.

Sounds like the old Minster District will be the "new" Spencerville District, and Liberty Benton will be a "hot mess", or maybe not...I remember a few "double districts" back in the day.

The boys districts each have 14, but the girls have 19? Does anyone know who will compete on Wednesday? Look complicated. At least the boys and girls won't be split up for regionals like in cross country.

How about Patrick Henry to Ayersville as well. Much closer to Ayersville than L-B. Looks like this whole double district is going to be a mess when you add in the girls district as well. Does this mean on Saturday they will go girls, district 1 then district 2 then back to gils and so forth? Sounds like a very long day!!!!!!!
