After what little I saw tonight...it impressed me. It has been a long time since I've seen Van Buren's team 'not quit'. They were down 3-0 (after what I heard of having 2 goals called back) They were still running - shooting and even B. Baker have a very good save near the end of the game.
Life is a gift...that is why it's called 'the present'

Yes, VB did not quit last night and I think if they can just get some good luck and start finishing, they can turn it around... and yes, some goals were called back for some "penalties"

I totally agree. If we could control our shots better, we would have a very good rest of the season and could blow some teams out of the water! If anything in particular is focused on in practice, it should be keeping the ball low on shots.

Yeah... you guys had a few shots that if they had been lower would have been goals.

i think we can very easliy turn it around we have to buckle down and play as a team and stop talking bad to others more or less i think we can turn this around if we shoot and score too thats a key to every game if u cant socre u cant win (not saying anything about defenders or anything like that)

I thought VB looked very good against Bryan on Saturday. This was a very rough game and VB did not back down. Vb won 2-1.

What surprised me at the Byran game was the attitude that the varsity had after the bogus foul on J. Flanagan in the box, resulting in a goal. At half-time VB looked like they were about to pack it up, but came out and played to win. Keep this up, and we have a shot at a winning season.

I wouldnt go as far as a winning season, with true tests of Riverdale, LB, Fort Jennings, and Bluffton still left, but winning 6-8 games this year is possible if things keep turning this way for VB with an upset of one of those 4 teams above maybe possible...

Were 2-4-1 as of now...Remaining schedule

Ft.Jennings- Going to be a tough game but if they beat kalida and we tied them no reason we can't get the win..still a tough game

Tiffin Calvert- Should be a win, they have one descent kid

Tiffin Columbian- Should be a win, I hear they have a very very weak defense, an ok midfield and ok forwards

Miller City- Going to be a tough game, Very very physical and big team

Old Fort- Should be a win plain and simple

Bluffton- They lost a lot last year rebuilding this year, should take advantage of the slow Defense

Riverdale- Always a good game, can't call this one right now, They did just lose to LB and from what i hear they've only given up 4 goals all season and to give up 3 to LB the other day im told there Defense is very very down right now, Will see

Liberty Benton- Not a bad team, My inside scoop told me they play a lot of balls to the Whittaker boy and thats pretty much it

Mohawk- Better Win

Hopefully my predictions are right but i think we can pull out 9 wins this season

I think someone's been hanging out with pg_grad today. sudsy.gif

The only games VB has a chance of winning are Calvert, Columbian, Old Fort and Mohawk. The rest are all losses.

Coach, maybe you should try and talk to your players at practice instead of on the internet. If you don't like my opinion on the subject then don't bring it up here on the RC.
