Liberty Benton -Real good Jr class and great coach
Arlington -Good Jr class and a few decent Seniors
Leipsic -Still have some talent and shooters
McComb -Same as last year....good team and a weak schedule will get them 15-16 wins
Vanlue -Big man will be enough to get 13 wins
PG -Just a hunch they will finish in the 6 hole
VB -Lost too much to be higher than 7th
CR -Lost a few key players but Harris is good enough to finish ahead of the below teams
Arcadia -Casey Mock ......and I beleive thats about it
HN -I really have no idea what they will have on the floor...time will tell

Time will tell VanillaBum...but I do disagree with your synopsis of McComb. They were BLASTED both times we played them last year, and unless they found someone to guard anyone over 6'2" they will have same issues as last year which is their inability to defend in the halfcourt against athletic teams WITH a big man or two. Arlington will again have a team with good height inside and will have even better guard play than last year. Typically, that is a pretty good recipe for success.
I would give LB the edge right now and Leipsic/Arlington/McComb the title of contenders for this year. Vanlue will have nothing outisde of Garber which is a pretty good start in itself, so you never know with them.

Blunk (JR) - 6'4"
Frysinger (SR) - 6'4"
Glick (SR) - 6'4"
Other (cant remember name!) - 6'5"
Outside of Blunk - the other three played JV last year and in a two game stretch, we had 2 dunks by separate players on the JV game. I have never seen anything like that before in a JV game. Dunking does not equate to wins/quality play all the time obviously, but my point is these three JV players all would be solid players on most any other team in the BVC last year. Just so happens they were behind a kid by the name of Recker who turned out to be a pretty decent player...
I love this years team - and will love it even more next year when there will be huge expectations. No pressure this year to win, but I suspect we will win 15 games or more and push for a BVC Championship. The road will be tough with away games at Leipsic, McComb and LB this year and with a "young" team - that could be an issue.
One thing for sure - our guard play will be good and we will be able to defend other teams guards better than any team in recent history at Atown. The question will be who steps up and scores inside and our outside shooting.
Pretty excited about hoops this year; coming off a girls state championship and a boys state semi-finalist finish provides great reason for optimism.

Fair assessment, and most likely true regarding Recker replacement. A kid like Recker comes along once in a long while in small school athletics. Rebounding was never an issue last year - this year, it will have to be a group effort to get it done.
Love football - but ready for basketball!
