Idk the answer to that question but I can tell you the girls that played for LB's indoor soccer team are VERY GOOD..

Why are they looking for a new coach? Did the old one retire?

Maybe I should have. Pandora loves dragging their feet. If it were for the average at best football team they would have had 5 coaches hired by now.

To answer the question. He is leaving to Coach Findlay HS girl's team. he is a Findlay grad, and has always wanted to Coach there, so when it came open he applied.

Have they hired anyone, or is it still open yet?

No matter who gets the job, those girls are go getters and should make whoever gets it look good.

It doesnt make much difference but I have been hearing that Findlay recruited him to be their new coach.

so what if they approached him, he would have applied anyway. Again, He has always wanted to go back and get a chance to coach either boys or girls soccer at Findlay. So tomatoe, tomato. I wish him the best of luck. It isn't always possible for nonteachers to get a chance to coach where they want to.

Falcon that is funny! have to admit.

And I have heard a name, and there is talk. Haven't got the YES he is yet though, at least that I am aware of.

It would only be natural for him to want to return to his alma mater, especially to such an established program that Findlay has built over the years. He has achieved quite a bit at L-B, and should do quite well at Findlay also...but it should be interesting next year with Findlay entering into a new league (TRAC) with tougher league opponents than before. I would think that they would still try to keep as many non-league teams on the schedule, as I believe they played some pretty good teams already. Best of luck to him!

Just hope the new coach can keep things going. It seemed like Coach Larocco figured the team out pretty well by the end of the season and had them playing very competitively(after making quite a few adjustments to the line up). Everyone was excited for the 2011 season to come based on how we finished and what we have coming back.

As far as Findlay goes, the TRAC will be a better league for FHS. FHS didn't even bother playing their varsity team against league opponents the last few years. Looking at the TRAC opponents, FHS should be competitive in the league.

The new league featuring Riverdale, VB, LB and others should be a interesting one. Any thoughts on who the frontrunner is in 2011 to be the inaugural champion?

We should be hearing something soon. I guess there is a time limit to where LB can't hire a coach til the leaving coach has been officially gone for so many days, Which is coming up so l look for them to be announcing the new head coach soon. They have had several applicants apply. So hopefully this week we hear something.

I heard the new coach held a player/parent meeting. Anyone know anything about this guy? Name, previous coaching experience etc.?

Girls had their first game with the new coach last night, so he actually had his first day of being able to coach them. The girls seem to find him very respectful, and approachable. He had a couple of offensive and defensive scheme changes, that will be good to see how the girls adjust to. It looks like it will free them up more, and allow more open runs on goal, instead of controlled mythical approach down the field.
Have their second game Wed. at kalida.
