Just looking for your predictions. What coaches will be happy with the season and what players should be in the running for all league honors?

It's all going to come down to pitching. MC has a couple good ones in Lehman and Lammers. Kalida is going to be very good when Swift is on the mound. I would give MC the edge offensively...and probably defensively. I don't see any other PCL teams giving these two any trouble but anything can happen...especially if weather causes scheduling issues early in the season. Rescheduling games can cause big problems for teams when it comes to pitching.

I would say MC will be #1 but CG had great defense and pitching against Elida. I would give them #2 in PCL. Kalida will give CG a tough fight for the #2 spot but i can see CG winning more league games than Kalida.

Pretty much how I expected. MC first, Kalida 2nd in PCL. Very possibly could see them again in district final if draw goes as expected, but anything can happen especially with a PH team. Should be MC #1 seed, Kalida #2. MC should have easier route though I would expect. Could be a good pitching matchup this time. We'll see if it works out.

Kalida got a nice win tonight against a determined Fort Jennings team: http://www.michaelhi...s-for-late-win/

Curious to see the draw on Sunday but I think youre right Guru on the 1/2 draw.....but it'll be a heck of a contest next week between the 2.

Tiger3... Not really its a non league game. Both teams will throw probably 5 or 6 pitcher I'd assume, unless they do some spot work with top 4. Game means nothing.

Yes they did, they finished as Co-Champs. 66 wins and 3 PCL titles for the senior class.

Grove took out the Pirates 1-0. Was hoping for the upset but it was not to be. Good luck Grove.

How did Miller City share the title? No one beat them in the county did they?

Austin Swift throws an absolute GEM (115 pitches, 21 first pitch strikes, ONE hit) and loses 4-1:

You are right, but they still play Ft. Jennings Monday to win it outright.

Congratulations to Miller City Wildcats and Coach Dusty Pester on winning the PCL outright, undefeated, 7-0 and 22-2 overall. Damn, that is an impressive number not achieved at MC since the Dan Kern years over 20 seasons ago.
