I was not there, but a parent told me Liberty-Benton looked pretty rusty. It was a fairly short scrimmage (and there is always different scores reported at these things) but I was told Grove scored twice and LB scored once. Again, I was not there....this info was relayed to me by a parent that was in attendance.

In the varsity scrimmage Grove scored 3 times, L.B. scored once. IMO LB looked pretty vanilla on offense , didn't open the play book much, but what do I know,

Doesn't surprise me BL. The O-line is my main concern this year......

Spencerville scored a couple of time through the air today against Shawnee, it seems the passing game has improved from where it was last at least a little bit.

Shawnee has a nice ground game and a couple of nice backs, but seem hell bent on throwing the ball out of the spread (4x1 or 5 wide) and just don't seem ready for it yet.

A ton of coaching staffs there today scouting both teams, I saw Allen East, a good number of Van Wert coaches and I believe it looked like Wapak and St. Marys for a bit as well.

Sounded like Bryan beat Defiance 2-0 in the 10 play portion of their scrimmage on Tuesday, but Defiance won the timed portion 15-13. I don't know a whole lot else.

Bryan beat Defiance 5-2 in the 10 play portion, of which they did at least 3 times, but I didn't see Bryan's final two scores. They both scored two touchdowns in the 2 quarters of game play but Defiance made a 2-point conversion and Bryan missed a kick. Basically Defiance looked terrible on defense early on and by the end of the scrimmage looked pretty even, if not better. I don't know if Bryan letting up or trying other things had anything to do with it. Defiance offense looked OK outside of numerous fumbles and 1 or 2 interceptions, but might lack big play ability.
