Stephanie Sanders finished her fine Senior season at Michigan State on Sunday, going 2 for 4, homering, then singling in the last at bat she will ever have, (always nice). She batted third most of the year, and hit 288 with 9 homers. She went to school with my kid, so I know what a hard worker she was. She never got any press from the Lima News, but being a starting athlete on a Big Ten team was a great accomplishment. There is a nice article about her on the Michigan State Softball website if anyone is interested

Right, better late than never. If this was a guy batting third for a Big Ten school we would hear a lot more about it

......I'm not so sure about that. Maybe a mention or two over the course of the year, but I think saying "a lot" would be a stretch....lol
