Since we are 11 days away from the start of high school baseball, I wanted to see what everyone thought about players in our area that will make some noise. I have a short list of players that will have great seasons, as long as they stay healthy:
1. Manny Vorhees (Wapak)
2. Gage Schenk (Wapak)
3. Grant Fuerst (OG)
4. Lawson Blackmore (Van Wert)
5. Blayne Robinson (Defiance)
6. Luke Burger (Elida)
7. Owen Recker (Kalida)
8. Brandon Wehri (Ft. Jennings)
9. Nick Thwaits (Ft. Recovery)
10. Caden Hurless (Crestview)
11. Chayten Overholt (Lincolnview)
12. Jaden Youtsey (Lincolnview)
13. Brady Nolan (Spencerville)
14. Nick Woods (Columbus Grove)
These are just a few from our area. Plenty of talent around here and i'm sure there are plenty more...feel free to add who you think should be on this list:

I'd like to hear from the masses how kids are out for baseball at the schools in the area, do you have a JV program? Sadly, baseball/ softball is becoming a tougher tougher sell to kids. They want to work on that scholly (ha!) so AAU basketball and club volleyball and club soccer are played in the spring.

There are more and more schools without JV teams. I think it's because the sport is too hard for most so kids don't want to put in the work to make themselves better. You have to love the game, because it definitely isn't for everyone. I've said it for years, the two hardest sports to play are baseball and hockey.

OG has a bunch.....think they have 8-10 seniors this year (only had 1 kid graduate from last year)....and had 20+ freshmen last year. Not sure if they'll have enough for a freshmen team....but I'm sure JV won't be an issue.

Arlington BB and SB have 15 each. No JV. This is disappointing since the freshman class has about 60 students in it.
