Ok...so week one didn't go too well, but we all know we have time for improvement. One week isn't going to hurt that bad...unless you're Dave. Lol. Week one always has a lot of uncertainties especially when a lot of the schools on the list had major program losses to graduation. But enough with the excuses and on to week 2.

Results from week 1

7-3

ROCKETMAN

6-4

Jamie Baker
Tim McDonough
Eric Kastner
Joel Miller
Kevin Oberhaus

5-5

Josh Morgret
Kyle Timmons
Jordan Strack

4-6

Dave Boninsegna

Week 2 games

Genoa @ Oak Harbor
Bryan @ Archbold
Otsego @ Wayne Trace
Lake @ Northwood
Clyde @ Eastwood
McComb @ Liberty Benton
Lima Central Catholic @ Delphos St Johns
Edon @ Edgerton
Toledo Central Catholic @ Sylvania Southview
Napoleon @ Wauseon

I know some of the schools are the same as last week but honestly, this weeks match ups just aren't very exciting in my opinion.

ROCKETMAN- Creator of Rocketcorner.com

When I signed up for this I had no idea that Oberhaus would be selecting games that he had a more innate knowledge of by getting me out of my comfort zone...
every game on the slate this week is north of Gilboa, save the LB one........I am at a distinct disadvantage but I will try my best....

Oak Harbor..........I'll take the Okies this week.......Jenny ain't what she used to be

Bryan ..................NWOAL showdown in week 2 already and I love the nickname Golden Bears!

Wayne Trace.......nice run last year, so I think it continues

Lake ...................know absolutely nothing about the Lakers but Northwood has traditionally been an easy mark for most

Clyde ..................the ONLY one to take the Fliers last week, so not taking them again this week would be a copout....

Liberty Benton.....to all of those who took Whineford last week..........the Eagles are for real, I really, really like their coach

LCC.............. ......they might call this game the Holy War, this year more like Holy Smokes!

Edgerton.............Edgerton will bomb Edon

TCC.....................toss up for me, and one I'm not confident on at all, but staying with the Catholics this week

Napoleon .............Naptown continues their strong showing

Jamie Baker- Findlay Courier

Genoa over Oak Harbor - I expect the Comets will fly high in the two
schools' annual Celestial Bowl match up.

Bryan over Archbold - It's early but this one could actually be for all of
the NWOAL marbles.

Otsego over Wayne Trace - Both were big winners in Week 1, I'm taking the
Knights.

Lake over Northwood - Throw out the records when these neighborhood rivals
meet.

Clyde over Eastwood - Clyde knocked off Tiffin Columbian last week and
that's good enough for me.

Liberty Benton over McComb - Nothing like starting out with perhaps the game
of the year in the BVC in the conference opener.

Lima Central Catholic over Delphos St John's - West Central Ohio's version
of the rivalry in Cleveland between Iggy and Eds.

Edon over Edgerton - Bombers bring out the big guns against Edgerton.

Toledo Central Catholic over Sylvania Southview - Southview is no DeLaSalle.

Napoleon over Wauseon - Can't see the Indians upending Napoleon

Tim McDonough- Defiance Crescent

Genoa @ Oak Harbor - A pair of teams that rolled in their openers. I'm going with the Comets behind the rushing of David Nutter.

Bryan @ Archbold - Bryan is theNWOAL favorite. Archbold is good, but the Streaks won't be able to stop Austin Schimmoeller & Company.

Otsego @ Wayne Trace - Wayne Trace slipped up in Week 2 a year ago, finished 9-1 and missed the playoffs. They won't let that happen this year.

Lake @ Northwood - A good win for Lake to start the season, but Northwood isn't happy after losing to Ayersville. Going with the Rangers.

Clyde @ Eastwood - Eastwood got a solid win at Patrick Henry, but I'm going with Clyde to get the win.

McComb @ Liberty Benton - A good matchup on paper, but I like Liberty-Benton's defense to slow down the high-flying Panthers.

Lima Central Catholic @ Delphos St Johns - LCC gets to 2-0 after DSJ's Tyler Jettinghoff is held under 100 yards for the second straight week.

Edon @ Edgerton - Williams County rivals to add a new chapter. It's the Bombers that get the win this year.

Toledo Central Catholic @ Sylvania Southview - Easily the Game of the Week. Will Southview start 0-2 ... I say yes and go with the Irish.

Napoleon @ Wauseon - In what could be the last game between the long-time rivals, Napoleon ends the series with its 13th straight victory.

Eric Kastner- Rocketcorner News

Genoa - I'm going with Genoa, however OH seems to finally have a little momentum after last years near playoff appearance and starting off with a bang in week 1 this year.

Bryan - Offensively, Bryan will be too much for Archbold as the Blue Streaks had a tough time getting things going offensively against Hicksville last week.

Otsego - I'm taking the Knights in this one. They have a chance to do some special things this year.

Lake - Lake stunned the MAL community last week by shutting out SJCC, who was a favorite for their league title this year. They start the season 2-0 with a win over the Rangers.

Clyde - This should be a pretty good game, as Clyde and Eastwood both beat great programs last week in Tiffin

Columbian and Patrick Henry, respecitvely. However, I'm going with the Fliers and their defensive prowess here. I'm also going with the bigger school factor.

Liberty Benton- This game is a toss-up. McComb revealed that they're ready for another BVC title run after whooping up on Calvert at home last week. However, something tells me that LB will be back for vengeance as they lost to the Panthers in OT last season 43-36.

Lima Central Catholic - DSJ is in rebuilding mode (which you can rarely ever say), and it doesn't help that they host a very good LCC team this week.

Edon - The Bombers of Edon look to get back into the playoff picture again this year. I'm taking them in a win here as they will start the season 2-0 in a very weak region 24.

Toledo Central Catholic - TCC is on a mission this season.

Napoleon - The Wildcats are coming off of a come from behind victory over Defiance, and they use that momentum to continue their winning ways this week against Wauseon

Joel Miller-WNDH 103.1 Napoleon

Genoa @ Oak Harbor Genoa - rolled over Waite last week, much tougher this week, but a win nonetheless over Oak Harbor

Bryan @ Archbold Bryan - one of the premier games in the NWOAL...Bryan is legit.

Otsego @ Wayne Trace Wayne Trace - Raiders' high power offense gets them past the Knights

Lake @ Northwood Northwood - tough loss for the Rangers last week has them in a bad mood. Coach Emans will have his team ready, though.

Clyde @ Eastwood Clyde - This one will be a battle. Clyde took out Columbian and Eastwood found themselves against PH. Clyde too much in the end.

McComb @ Liberty Benton McComb - another tough matchup. McComb has reloaded.

Lima Central Catholic @ Delphos St Johns LCC - 0 - 2 for the Blue Jays?? Elida then LCC will do that to you.

Edon @ Edgerton Edon - Blue Bombers chucked it all over the field against the GMC last week. Will do it again.

Toledo Central Catholic @ Sylvania Southview Central Catholic - premiere game in the Glass City this week. CC too tough for Southview after the Cougars lost to St. Francis last week.

Napoleon @ Wauseon. Napoleon - Last match up for these historic rivals. Wauseon hasn't beat Napoleon in over a decade. Not enough to get it done this year, either

Dave Boninsegna- ZSportsLive.com

Oak Harbor

Bryan

Otsego

Northwood

Eastwood

McComb @ Liberty Benton
Both teams very good they combined to give up just 10 points. But LB has always been strong, I am taking them to get their first BVC W of the year.

Lima CC @ DSJ
This could be ugly for St Johns after getting blanked in week one; I am taking LCC.

Edon

Toledo Central Catholic

Wauseon

Kyle Timmons-SanduskyCountyLive.com Sports Editor

Genoa over Oak Harbor - Sure, the Rockets would love to take down their Ottawa County rivals; however, it hasn't been pretty the past several years and most people over here don't think it will be pretty this year as well. Genoa 56, Oak Harbor 14.

Bryan over Archbold - Archbold's defense posted a shut-out in week one, but will not be so lucky against a Bryan squad that likes to score in bunches. Bryan 56, Archbold 17.

Wayne Trace over Otsego - The Raiders of Wayne Trace kick off their home part of their schedule by squashing the Knights. Wayne Trace 56, Otsego 13.

Northwood over Lake - This contest is quite intriguing. Lake shut out what most people consider a very good Fremont St. Joe team and Northwood lost by a score to a good Ayersville team. Taking Northwood at home. Northwood 56, Lake 10.

Clyde over Eastwood - In my opinion, a loss for Clyde would be a let down after a big win on the road in Tiffin last week. Clyde 56, Eastwood 21.

Liberty Benton over McComb - Another intriguing game in NW Ohio matches the Eagles vs. Panthers. Both teams are very capable of producing points and playing good defense. I think LB scores points this week and plays defense. Liberty Benton 56, McComb 6.

Lima Central Catholic over Delpho St. John's - I'm not going to be fooled two weeks in a row by the Blue Jays. Lima CC 56, Delphos SJ 34.

Edgerton over Edon - Not sure why my heart is leaning towards Edgerton this week, but I have to go with the heart/gut. Edgerton 56, Edon 55.

Toledo Central Catholic over Sylvania Southview - The Irish should not need luck this week. Toledo CC 56, Southview 26.

Wauseon over Napoleon - I'm sure I'm going to take a loss here, but I'm going to take the home team. Wauseon 56, Napoleon 54.

Jordan Strack-WTOL Toledo 11 Weekend Sports

GENOA-Looked really impressive in week 1...they'll continue that this week.

BRYAN-Dropped 70 in their first game. They won't drop that many this week...but they'll be 2-0.

OTSEGO-Inexperienced, but I think the first team to 40 wins. Gonna be a shootout.

NORTHWOOD-Different year; Same story. Too big, too strong, too physical & Northwood wins easy.

EASTWOOD-Coming off a really impressive week 1 win against PH. Can't pick against them twice in a row.

MCCOMB-Really liked LB's week 1 win...but I like McComb's a little better.

LCC-Amazingly, DSJ could start 0-2...and I think they will.

EDON-The Bombers took care of business in week 1 like they should have. I think they'll be 2-0.

CENTRAL CATHOLIC-CCHS didn't play particularly well in week 1 & still beat a very good team. They'll have no issues with Southview.

WAUSEON-Was stunned that Napoleon played such a tight game with Defiance. That won't cut it this week. Wauseon is very good.

Josh Morgret-Fremont News-Messenger

Genoa.....Too Big and good

Bryan.....I like them on the road.

Otsego.....NBC looks to have a strong year and Otsego adds to it

Lake.....I saw them play last week. Their QB Rettig can put up big numbers

Eastwood.....I like Eastwood in a battle of teams that pulled off big upsets last week

LB.....LB wins at home to put them in the drivers seat for the BVC

LCC.....I can't believe I'm picking DSJ to start 0-2

Edgerton.....I like the Bulldogs to get the win at home

TCC.....Kizer is too much for Southview

Napoleon.....Wildcats keep it going, picking up a good road win

Kevin Oberhaus-Rocketcorner News

Genoa.....Oak Harbor is good, but not the Oak Harbor good of the mid 2000's. comets roll to an easy 3 score W.

Bryan.....Archbold is in for a long night. Bryan won't put up 70 but it might not be far off.

Wayne Trace.....Raiders spread out the Knight D and throw all over them. Otsego is a old team but a W over Evergreen does not impress me. WT is on a mission this year.

Lake.....Flyers get over the Northwood complex. I can't pick the Rangers after losing to Ayersville. Lake beat a very good SJCC team last week.

Clyde.....Fliers won't turn the ball over 6 times.

Liberty Benton.....I'm not gonna be dumb and pick against the Eagles twice in a row.

LCC.....T-Birds are a very good team. I look for DSJ to play better this week but it may not matter. The LCC defense is better then Elida so where do the Jays get points from?

Edon.....I think the Bombers are a more complete team then Edgerton. Road team gets the W here as the Bulldogs drop the second straight close one.

Central.....Southview loss to St Francis really surprised me. They have a ton of athletes. Central has more. Kizer and Co. roll to 2-0.

Napoleon.....Struggled with Defiance but that's a rivalry for you. Indians haven't beaten the Wildcats in over 10 years and that's not changing this year.

There is a theme to his picks.

You can tell people from Otsego or WT and NO true knowledge of the other team...how does that game get an even amount of picks for each team but be so lopsided??
