Heading into week 3, I think it's safe to say the WBL is way different than we all anticipated. Below is my take on the league and what we should expect:
1. Elida (2-0) Bulldogs look good and very athletic but they haven't played a team yet with speed. Should be 4-0 heading into week 5 matchup vs. Wapak.
2. Van Wert (2-0) Better resume than Elida, but I see the Cougars finishing 6-4
3. Shawnee (2-0) Biggest surprise so far and this week's game with Wapak will tell alot.
4. St. Mary's (1-1) Probably most dangerous team in the league and will be a playoff team.
5. Bath (1-1) Will struggle against any team that has good run defense. I'm saying 4-6 record.
6. Celina (1-1) We will see what kind of team this is as they host Elida Friday.
7. Wapak (0-2) Definitely not the Wapak football we are used to. Must win game vs. Shawnee Friday.
8. Ottawa Glandorf (0-2) Hard to compete when your leader and QB goes down for the year. 5-5 finish.
9. Kenton (0-2) Defense is very weak and offense isn't strong enough to balance that.
10. Defiance (0-2) 0-10 finish is very possible
