I'm Randal - he hasn't taught in several years. He's an assistant principal. You might want to know what he does before you opine on it. I also find it hard to believe he likes to be "played" 'quite a bit of money for not a lot of work'. You have to have some work ethic to be as succesful as he's been lately.

I'm aware with what he does. If you knew Evergreen, you would know that they don't offer the position that he currently has at Genoa. By the way, I was at the board meeting yesterday and no action will be taken until March, when the deadline of applying for the football job is up.

I'm being told the list of candidates is not very impressive. That's why the application process has been extended.

Maybe if Evergreen didnt make the applicants take a Wonderlick Test the list would be bigger.

Question...What happened to Evergreen's last HC? Was he not a recent hire?

Interesting that the AD at Evergreen is said to be stepping down. Now Ive been told that Vicars has been offered the AD and HC job...hold up may be finding/creating a full time position for him.

His problems with school administrations has to do with teaching and not with football. He likes to be played ^payed quite a bit of money for not a lot of work. His wife also still works at the hospital in Wauseon, which is another reason they would like to come back to the area. Today is the day the Evergreen Board of Education will discuss the hiring of Coach Vicars. We'll see what happens tonight. They do have a backup plan in case it doesn't work.
He gets payed more because of his principal's license. And if you teaching, the more schooling you have, the more pay you get.

Evergreen holding applications till March board meeting where a decision should be made. If they have the applicant they want, then hire him. Longer they wait, the less likely they get him.

One thing that might "give Vicars pause"............there is a good chance that his defensive coordinator, Tim Spiess won't be following him to Evergreen if he took that job which would bode very well for the rest of the NWOAL teams IMO.

Evergreen has an income tax on the upcoming ballot. Assuming failure means cuts anyone from outside the district probably wants to know that Evergreen will still have athletics before going there to coach.
