Well, I don't know much about it but it is a nice sport. This season, it looks like it will come down to a showdown between Versailles and Marion Local. I don't know ML's record but Versailles is 7-0 and 2-0 in the MAC. Also, Versailles took down last year's state runner ups New Knoxville in three games on Thursday.

From what I have read and heard, it appears you are right, tigerball13. It should come down to Marion and Versailles. Marion is 9-0 right now with a game against Anna tonight. That is a huge match, but Marion is D4, so we don't have to contend with them in tournament. Hopefully Marion can go all season undefeated in football and volleyball, especially against that team in week 6. pokey.gif

Hope for the best tonight with the Flyers. That comment about week 6, you guys are going DOWN as is the volleyball team. I'm pretty sure that we meet up on September 27.

The volleyball match should be pretty competitive. The football game............not so much.

That would be an even bigger upset than in 2004, when the roles were reversed.

Hopefully both teams can remain unbeaten until they play each other. It would make for a great build-up and match.

Versailles (11-0, 3-0) defeats Fort Recovery (4-5, 0-3) in 4 games.
Scores were: 25-17, 25-21,23-25, 25-9.

Versailles JV (11-0, 3-0) defeats Fort Recovery JV (10-1, 2-1) in 2 games.
Scores were: 25-13, 25-23.

If I'm not mistaken, this was Versailles' first "match" lost all year.

Versailles lost their first game, not match. Last year, Versailles didn't lost a game until Marion took them to five games.

Marion handled Parkway 25-17, 25-12, 25-12, or something like that.

I wasn't sure how they describe it. Is the whole thing a match, or is it a game. I usually say the whole thing is a game and each is one match, but I think you're right. We played St. Mary's today, but I have no idea on the score. Check this one out though. NB beat Anna as part of a tri-match!!!!!

Beat Anna 11-25, 25-21, 25-21

Beat Covington 25-11 25-16

Lima Bath Invitational (MAC results)

Parkway over Wayne: 25-11, 25-15
St. Henry over Spencerville in 2 games.

round 2:

St. Henry over Parkway: 25-22, 25-15

St. Henry will probably play Orrville for the championship. Parkway will probably play Old Fort for 3rd place.

Maybe New Bremen is really good this year. They do have only 1 loss, I believe. Hopefully Marion can dispatch them in tournament without much trouble.

We have a week left until a huge matchup between the good folks in the north(Marion Local) and the evil bullies from the south.(Versailles) boxing.gif Hopefully, both can stay undefeated until then.

Evil bullies? I thought everyone considered Coldwater the big bullies of the MAC.

Versailles is now 14-0 overall and 5-0 in the MAC.

Versailles JV defeated Delphos JV in 3 games: 21-25, 25-18, 25-21.
Versailles JV is now 13-1 overall and 4-1 in the MAC.

Coldwater is only the bully in football. Versailles is the bully in volleyball. Hopefully little ole Marion can take down two bullies in a year.

Shouldn't that be St. Henry because they're the ones with all the titles in volleyball.

It beats me. I am just trying to give you a hard time. St. Henry did win a lot of league titles, but tournament success has been lacking recently. I could say the same thing for Marion Local as far as tournament goes.

Versailles over Russia in three. Versailles was up as much as 19-1 in a game. (Also, I believe a blue and gold team was watching from the stands.)
