Mohawk boys avenged last weeks runner-up finish at regionals with a third in the 4x800. What happened to Bluffton?

Congrats to the LCC relay teams and Mykale Rogers on their accomplishments at state this year. The 4x200 team made it to the State Semi-finals while running without their fastest sprinter, Michael Rogers. Michael was able to make it back far enough from his hamstring injury to run in the 4x100 relay at state, where they finished 6th in the finals despite no practice time. Kudos to Lee Stewart, a freshman, who filled in for Michael Rogers during the tournament and helping the relays make it to state.

Mykale Rogers, Michael's freshman brother, had one of the fastest 200 times heading into state but pulled up with a pulled back muscle in the prelims at state. He did manage to get it together enough to finish second in the long jump. Rufus Johnson was in the state tournament as a long jumper as well.

Bubba Krieg, a member on both relays, topped off an outstanding high school athletic career by making it to state in his third different sport. He was a starting guard on the state champion basketball team and an All-State WR and DB on this year's state football team as well. If I'm not mistaken, he also wont he 200 at the NWC meet.

Congrats on a great season; and to Michael, Rufus, and Bubba a great career.

1 521 Taylor Burke 12 Medina 6-01.25%

I cannot BELIEVE that I have not read one word about the girl named above! She won the Division I girls' high jump with the most PHENOMENAL height ever made in the state of Ohio!! I have never seen a girl jump over 6 feet before except on TV at the Olympics. Please take note and remember the name. Congratulations to Taylor on a well earned first place medal!!

P.S. I am also VERY proud of the athletes from Archbold in Division III!! Especially my Grandson - grin - who is proudly displaying 3 state medals for his wonderful efforts!! clap.gif Can't wait until next year to see what he does.
