I don't think Shawnee. St. Marys has flown under the radar and to the best of my knowledge, has only lost to Wapak. (as far as I know) - I know they have defeated Bath, Shawnee and Defiance. Next would be Bath - their only league losses are to Wapak and St. Marys (in a close one). However, Shawnee may have more individual (and higher placers). so you may be correct. St. Marys,, Bath better balanced dual meet wise, maybe not so much so indivually.

i dont think st marys has a chance... shawnee with the plaughers and heffner lucas and arthur .. idk if kuhlman will wrestle or not... but after that they dont really have anyone else.... bath idk too much about but i know that lhamon wise and possibly ingram are supposed to have #1 seeds and then there is lowe neal davis if wrestle to full potential will be in atleast 3rd place match if not championship matches.. then rabley who has been banged up a little rudasill and stonehill who have great chances of making the podium... but according to Martins interview on wlio wapak hasnt had any comotition in the wbl for the last 4 years

For what its worth- Wapak will win the WBL,no question. They clearly have the best program and I don't see anyone challenging them in the near future unless it's Shawnee and maybe Bath. It's coaching plain and simple. Regardless, anyone care to speculate on individual champions or finals mathups?

Have not been to Elida since new school was built. Is the tournament being held at the new gym or in the old field house? (If that even exists)

Hengstler wins 70 easily, he already major decisioned Hefner. Valentine wins 145. Both of the brown boys and carpenter have shots at winning their weight classes and of course martin at 106. Shawnee places in many of the lower weight classes, not sure how they get Kuhlman, both plaughers, and Arthur in three weight classes though (126, 132, 138)?. I believe pauf has been 32 most of the year (my pick to win), not sure why he would be at 38. Look for smith, 182 (possible champ), sackinger 195, arborgast 126, and B. Hunter 106 all placing. Meyer, 45, from defiance as well as Villarreal at 26, and Romero at 52 can all place. Not sure what St. Mary's brings to the table this year. Van Wert with Canteras at heavy and Thompson at 52, not sure of their other wrestlers. Bath has Lowe at 52 or 45 Davis at 26 or 32, and Wise at 60 or 52 that should all place, and garret had a good tourney up at oregan clay at 38 with Ingram placing at 13.

Will be held at the field house new main gym is not big enough. A Doc may be on hand to check all wrestlers for funk after the debacle at Celina last week.

Coming from an outsider, I think Wapak has more coming back then you guys think. I went and watched the night they wrestled Van Wert and OG. Wapak only had 4 seniors on the team, 3 to 4 freshman starting. With 4 or 5 sophomores. Also, the Wapak faithful seem mighty high on a few kids coming up from the middle school program. Do I like Wapak, no. Do I wish someone else would knock them off, yes. Do I respect their program and what they do for area wrestling, most definitely. With the coaching Wapak has at each level, it will be hard to knock them down. Not to mention, the span they did not win the WBL, I believe they were always competitive in the top 3. Some of the Wapak faithful told me that losing in unacceptable in this program and the reason they win is the amount of time, effort, and work the wrestlers, parents, and coaches put into the program. I wish my kids could have wrestled in a program like theirs.

Big congrats goes out to Jason and the dynasty he has built in Wapak. Nice moment when the kids got back to school they brought them into the gym and honored them during the basketball game. I laugh when I see some people say next year they lose to much but Wapak doesnt rebuild they just reload.
