And the ref that called the technicals on then coach Dwaine Holt was no other then the president of the Ohio High School Athletic Association Dr. Daniel Ross. And as Paul Harvey use to say "And now you know the rest of the story."

I always admired Dwaine Holt for his passion and competitive toughness. Does not surprise me that Dan Ross was incompetent as an official.

I remember a JV Coach in 90 something during a game at USV getting a techical for asking the official "are you going to blow your whistle or are you just going to suck all game?" The offical promptly blow his whistle giving the coach his a technical. To which the coach resonded " that is the first good call you have made today."

It was a jv game last season. It was Fort Jennings vs Ottoville a good rivalry. Musketeers were down one late in the fourth. When a shooting foul was called against Jennings a a player didn't agree and let it be known by making a noise. He was T'd up instantly. All the players didn't know it was a technical and were set up for foul shots. When a player from Jennings was telling his team to get back so they could shoot. He was T'd up instantly. While the ref was reporting it the player walked up to him to ask what he did. The kid was a captain and therefore could, but the ref replied with another technical. The kid had to leave the game and Ottoville shot 8 free throws making 3 of them. Jennings than went down and hit a three at the buzzer to lose by one.

That same ref tossed our seventh grade coach the next day, and it was for nothing at all serious. It was so bad the AD made an e-mail or two and had the ejection rescinded immediately with no penalty. He just refuses to let anyone question him, even politely.

That ref no-showed at a JV game this year and is known for doing so often because he'll double book or is too stupid to keep an accurate schedule.

Five years ago, Houston was playing at Jackson Center, and Coach Willoughby of Houston was yelling at the refs and got two technicals during the JV game and then was forced to the locker room. The JV coach then had to coach the varsity team and Houston ended up losing in a blowout.
This also happened to Jacksons ex. girls coach Gregg Gooding once. I was embarassed for him!

Upper Sandusky at Galion, Jon Diebler's senior year. Diebler stole the ball at halfcourt and went storming down the floor for a breakaway. The Galion player surprisingly hauled ass back on defense, but got called for a blocking foul. As the refereee, Gary Rosplohowski, is reporting the foul to the scorer's table, Galion's coach, Bill Keesey, walks down to the end of their bench and does his best Fred Sanford imitation by droppinng to the floor and acting as though the big one is coming. Without changing his facial expression one iota, the official calls the first T. Keesey went BALLISTIC and storms back up the floor toward the scorer's table. Almost immediately, the second T is issued and Galion's then AD, Jim Ruth, couldn't get back up the floor fast enough to grab him and get him back to the locker room. Galion's assistant coach (and current AD), Bob Roesch, was left to coach the remainder of the game.

This was in a girls game, but Minster coach Nann Stechschulte was showing an official how an opposing player flopped on a charging call. Nann starts backpedaling and before you know it she's on her keister! I doubt she tried to do it to show up the ref but he had to give her a technical at that point.

That sounds like the Nann I remember playing against!!! ;)
