Watching business news this morning learned that Ragu/Bertolli is being bought by another company.
What astonished me and led to my starting this topic was that they mentioned Ragu is the best selling spaghetti sauce in the US.
I usually make and can or freeze my own spaghetti sauce, but, when needed, will buy store-bought sauce and ONLY Prego 'cause, to me, Ragu is just inedible! Lol
That statistic just really floored me, so wondering, " which spaghetti sauce do you use/prefer?"

Lately my wife has been buying Bertoli. I like it.
I remember my mom making sauce. That was good stuff. Too easy to buy it now.

On "Laverne and Shirley", I always thought Shirley Feeney would end up getting Prego by the Big Ragu

If I'm not using homemade it's Ragu. Add some ital. seasoning and a few bay leaves, and simmer an hour and it's delish!!

I always preferred Prego until I started using Bertolli. My daughter will eat spaghetti but since I started using Bertolli (Tomato & Basil) she eats more than she ever has.
I made some homemade a few times and it was phenomenal. But by the time I got done and realized what I ended up with, I decided I wasn't doing that anymore. Maybe if I could do it in larger batches but I'm just not set up for all of that. Like fortfan said, it's too cheap at the store to go through all of that work of making homemade. And like OSU4me said, doctoring up the cheap stuff always makes a good sauce. But with Bertolli, I don't have to touch it.

I'd rather shower at Penn State than root for Michigan.
