Marion Local probably just faced their stiffest test in the OHSAA playoffs in Covington. The Flyers will play Triad, I see the Flyers taking this one by 3 or 4 TD's.

Marion local should win this easily.I was at the covington game and ML barely escaped.Covington had them beat until a bad play call by the Cov coach cost them.

Trying to figure out where this one will be, the halfway point is Piqua pretty much so knowing the OHSAA it'll be Wapak.

People get too worked up about game locations. It's just not that big of a deal if one team gets the short end of the stick and has a little longer to commute.

Yes, I believe the state championship game was held last night. Kudos to Covington. Very evenly matched. I didn't know exactly how good they were.

How is ML's health these days? Heard they were down to 3rd or 4th QB and RB also injured.

No Marion Local is healthy. Bertke showed why he is a D1 QB recruit last night against Covington. And he went in at DB to help stop the bleeding too. Great all around player.

Marion's RB is also healthy so as far as I know they are at full strength.

Marion is healthy, thankfully, or we never would have gotten by Covington.

Every game seems like it might be the championship game for ML when they are actually challenged. The reality is there are actually teams capable of playing with them...Covington being one of them....and not the only one. Quite frankly, about every team left in D7 are the ones that you should expect to be left and they will be worthy to play ML.

Absolutely State Title caliber game last night.

My guess is ML rolls over Triad.
Always a watchful eyes on those Tiffin Calvert Senecas, Marion Local Flyers, Fort Loramie Redskins , New Albany Eagles.

Marion Local should and will play like every game here on out is the title game.

I just don't believe any team will give them the game they got last night. Both teams played to near perfection and I believe if those two teams met 10 times you would have seen 5 wins for each. They were that closely matched.

Triad simply does not have the numbers and will try a passing game that the Flyers will bury. Very similar to what they did to Ft. Loramie is my prediction.

Good luck to the Flyers from Covington.

It's a shame that game had to happen so early. As a fan of a team that has played Marion in the playoffs countless times and every time being an incredible game, it sucks knowing how easy much weaker competition gets to move on and you don't.

I saw Triad play last night against Sidney Lehman and they played a gutsy game considering they lost both there starting quarterback and running back the week prior. During the game they also lost there back up running back and a big defensive lineman, so they will definitely be playing short handed in this game.

Triad, when healthy, was a very good team... not sure they were capable of beating ML but would have competed. It's too bad that they are so banged up. The coaches and players have done a nice job there.

Unfortunately with the injuries, this game will probably be a bloodbath. It'll be over by halftime.

BigBucc, I do want to apologize for bashing the Buccs. You have an incredible team. I love your style of offense-where every play is a quick hitter. Reminds me of Columbus Bishop Hartley, or the St Marys teams of yesteryear. If your secondary would have been a bit better, you would have pulled it out.

I watched the replay of the Covington game and it was amazing how our in sync their offense was at all times.
