Sounds like a reasonable score...maybe the wrong outcome tho.

I'm thinking PH by 14 - defense will stop LB enough to pull this off ! Go Big RED

It would be great to see the offense clicking like it did against Columbia. Jones was placing every ball right on target and the receivers were catching everything...except 1 in the first half. The line was outstanding on both sides of the ball. Banyasz had no time to do anything. One play stands out when Banyasz was rolling right and Jake C chased him down from behind to make the tackle. He wouldve scrambled for at least 20 yards had Jake not made that play. The D Ends and DBs need to play great to beat this LB team. Linhart is very athletic...not quite Craft but darn good.

LB has started slowly in each of their playoff games by giving up early scores and then coming back in the seocnd half to get the wins. If they truly only have 3 players going both ways, maybe that is part of the reason for their success after the first quarter. Unfortunately for PH, due to injuries and other situations, they now have 7 players starting both ways. This is one well conditioned team though and the players going both ways are pretty good athletes as well. Being week 13, I dont see conditioning being as big an issue as it was in week 11.

Also they started off slowly against Leipsic in week 9 and then their Defense didn't budge the whole second half.

Just heard that LB does have more than 3 players going both ways and Linart does not have the speed that the Columbia QB did , has a better or bigger line . Tho will be a great game

So what kind of offense does LB run now? Linhart is shotgun mostly? I'm trying to remember back to week 3 when I was at McComb.

I got YTD stats from the great Several.

PH Offense
Rushing: 502-3423yds - 48tds 10 fumbles lost
Passing: 84/152-1702 - 14tds 8ints

Defense
Rushing: 306-966yds - 14tds 10 fumbles gained
Passing: 97/219-1251yds - 12tds 7ints

The defense has 3 with over 100 tackles. Caleb Carrizales 103-14tfl 7sacks. Jake Carrizales 102-14tfl 7sacks. Logan Ziegler 108-11tfl 2sacks.

PH holds a 474-196 scoring advantage.

I'm sure/hoping Several can give us more insight. Like he usually does.

It's almost all out of the shotgun. They are balanced offensively; they prefer to run, but are very capable of using the short passing game to attack your defense.

The key, IMO, is ball control. Can PH's defense keep LB's offense off the field? As I posted in the topic about the LCC game, LB's three scoring drives in regulation were for a combined 43 plays and 18:10 of clock time. They ran 72 offensive plays for the game and only 7 of them went for 10 yards or more. It's fair to say that LB can start slow, but if they are allowed to find a rhythm & drain the clock, they will be tough to beat.

the one thing that stands out in my mind that gives LB a much better chance to win this game is the fact that PH doesn't have that one or two RB or the QB/RB combo that they had in their previous years against LB. Ober you may be able to help me with names from the PH-LB games with the standout rbs and qbs. Either way, it seemed as if in those games years back, that lb just got worn down from the running attack of PH. 3rd and longs that would get converted time after time. Kept LB off the field much of the time. As of late, that strategy has seemed to help LB in the playoffs against LC and LCC

Lima Stadium makes no sense. Oh well

LB has so much respect for the PH program, so they will come out well prepared for a tremendous battle. I can only imagine PH will do the same.
you can hear the game on zsportslive.com down load the app at tunein.com
have seen both teams several times this year should be a good game. both teams coming off of big wins.

It's sounds to me that these two teams mirror each other, basically the same kind of offense, great athletes,it should be one dandy of a game.

Actually LB stays under center more this year than ever, and I would say they stay nuder center about 70-80% of the time. Run-and-shoot look. A lot of veer option. They do run out of the gun with 1 back and empty but not nearly as much as they use to.
