The O-G Gold Medal had nine teams today (O-G, Liberty Benton, Swanton, Bryan, Kenton, Bluffton, Leipsic, Allen East, and Bath)

In the end it came down to LB and Bluffton destroying everybody, and LB taking it all 125-123 (not sure on final score)

Some impressive athletes their numbers

Shane Shockey (Blu) went 15"3 in the pole vault (new meet record)
Bluffton 4x800 ran somewhere around a 8:16 i think
LB 4x200 ran a new meet record of 1:31.?? (don't remember exact)
Can't remember his name, but a guy from Kenton threw shot over 56" (he also won disc with like 140"?)
Sam Benjamin of LB took the 100 and 200 (don't remember times)

STrAngE OdDITy
only one guy cleared the starting high jump height of 5"6, so only one person placed in the high jump
cool guy in the house

This meet has lost most of the luster it once had. They are trying to salvage the meet by allowing more than one competitor in each event ( which was always a big mistake in the first place) but many of the teams that once competed there have decided to go elsewhere. By and large the competition just is not there anymore, it is sad to think that the d 111 schools dominate this meet as much as they do every year. It looks like the meet to go to in this area is at Columbus Grove as they run an excellent meet and have outstanding competition in nearly every event. At OG if it wasn't for Bluffton and Liberty Benton the meet would have been rather poor competition throughout except for Miller from Kenton in the weight events.

Was Liberty Benton in the grove invitational too? Because if they were that means they sent half to grove and half to the O-G gold metal. Thats crazy!! they have alot of awesome athletes. I hope they do well ( never mind i KNOW theyll do well)

Jami Bellamy from bath is still undefeated!
She is undefeated in both the 100 girl’s hurdles and also the 300 girl’s hurdles.
She won two gold metals at the OG gold metal track meet. She was the Lima news athlete of the week last week, and she also received 3 first place’s finishes in the bath invitational the week before.
She led the girls in OG with the only girl to get two gold metals.
In the bath invitational she was the only girl to get 3 first place finishes.

Oh ya also for the High jump they only had 1 place because they started at 5'6 and only 1 person cleared it ...they should have moved the bar down to like 5'4 that would have been better any1 agree?
HAVE A NICE DAY!!!
