Speaking of running score up or keeping blowout Coach Kill (if thats what you want call him)
He was up by 15 or more in 4th quarter against OG and his starters didnt come out even after OG pulled theirs.
and continued to play them until final buzzer.
But Kill is a Jack @$$.He made a comment after Ref called foul on one his guys that kid from OG couldnt even tie his own shoes let alone draw that foul. How disrespectful.
I will not be surprised if he quits coaching after this year.
The talent he has coming up is very weak.
Kill has won by the talent he has had over the last 3-4 years.
Kimbrough, Simpson, Cobbs, Walton, Dixon
he has not coached them to victory they have won on pure talent and role players Williams, Taffinger, O Conner.
He is a cry baby and complains and wines about everything.
If he does stay which i will be surprised we will really see a crybaby because he will not win many games.
And as far as schedule goes i hope some of those games were one year contract or he is in deep.
Ive seen OG JV and Freshmen teams and they have alot talent coming up not to mention 2 Soph playing Varsity.
What comes around goes around and would Luv see OG run the score up big on them next year.
But wait i doubt it because their coach is more respectful then that.

You know as well as I do that the guys that play JV for LCC will not be the ones who play varsity for the T-Birds in the future.

Coach Kill was not just disrespectful to OG ( which I expect with the history between the 2 programs)......but it was disrespectful to the guys sitting on the bench for LCC that go to practice everyday but didn't see the floor in a game that was 15-20 pts. most of the 4th quarter.

That is why their program will tank in future years.
Coach Kill & previous LCC coaches over the years (not Bob S.) are the reason LCC does not play in any league, no league wants to put up with antics like this. If you do not believe ask a few coaches from the league they played in (NWC).

Up 15 to 20 in the 4th....I am not an LCC fan (don't hate them either), but OG can score 15 very quickly if they still press like they used to. I can see wholesale subbing at 2-3 minutes left up 20 if OG subbed. Otherwise they should mix in some subs with a couple of floor leaders.

20 is 30 or 40. I don't condone those type of words towards another team, but this is a non-issue to me.

Whether I agree or disagree with not playing reserves in late game situations is an opinion that holds no value in my point.

Please tell me how many coaches in the area, region, state, or country consistently play reserves when fans think they should. This has been a complaint of many for a very long time

Fact is many coaches like to consistently play a specific number of players (i.e. rotation). Does this help build the future? It appears the few on here thus far believe it does not. But to say a team is running up the score was cool in the 80s.

In regards to NWC coaches...this is now the third reason I've read on here as to why they no longer wanted LCC in their league.

This ******* is old...and quite frankly...no pun intended, a BIG reason this site is a mere she'll of what it used to be.

You both missed the part where he said OG cleared their bench with 3 minutes to go..... game was over.

If LCC was up 15-20 most of the fourth quarter and won by 20 after OG cleared their bench with 3:00 to go, LCC obviously didn't run the score up on them.

This topic is an oldie but a goodie. Kill has again shown his true colors. He is an arrogant horse's arse. The only question is will he still be around when the talent is not there. My guess is he will not be coaching LCC basketball in 3 years.

I didn't miss it, I just happen to have an opinion that differs from you. Where is it in the basketball handbook that details how a coach must sub at the end of a game? And don't give me the respect line. Isn't the game in question a decent rivalry? Also can we get confirmation of how the end actually played out? Either way I still stand by my opinion that this is ridiculously overblown and a severe reach to slam a coach that isn't your YMCA teammate or Saturday morning call-in comrade.

But this argument doesn't support their yearly gripe. New year, same topic, same people/type of people, and same tears.

I don't care if they won by 50..... he should take opportunities to get his bench kids some minutes. They earned it.

I totally agree, give the guys on the bench some time in the game they go to practice they work just as hard as the starters. Someday you might needs those guys.

This isnt so much about running up the score and respect.
Kill is a joke and A$$.
he is a whine Baby that complains constantly.
and whoever gave him 3yrs you are extremely nice.
After this year the talent is gone He will be lucky to go 500 and thats being nice.
Oh wait he will probably schedule cupcake games but that might not even help.
Kill is gonna run far away because he would actually have to show he can coach and thats not gonna happen.
Talent over last 3-4yrs won at LCC not Kill
He is a horrible and non respectful coach.
THE BIGGEST THING THAT GOT ME WAS THE REMARK ON THE FOUL ABOUT THE OG KID NOT BEING ABLE TIE HIS OWN SHOES LET ALONE FOUL. HOW DEGRADING IS THAT TO THE KID. HE LOUD A$$ MOUTH WAS OVERHEARD BY SEVERAL PEOPLE.
KILL IS A JOKE PERIOD.

I'm pretty sure talent will "surface" at LCC. It won't go dry. Also, I'm sure "talent" won a lot of coaches games. No bad team ever won a title. Even Brad Stevens' Butler had NBA players & Norman Dale had Jimmy Chitwood.

I am sure talent will surface eventually
just not in next few years.
Saw their JV and freshmen play it is going to be awhile.
Kill is an arrogant whine A$$ that wont stick around.
Look at him now when he wins
holy crap imagine when he is loosing and loosing big
he will probably go cry middle of floor or throw something at refs

I wasn't so much perturbed by LCC leaving their starters in the last few minutes and pushing a 15 point game to 20. That is the coach's discretion........what I could have done without is the timeout at 1:30 so the players and coaches could pump their fists/ high five and then return to the floor and have one of the best players in the state of Ohio throw down a dunk with :15 left in the game and the ensuing celebration, against OG's JV players, nonetheless.

Very Classless, shows no respect, that is why they will have trouble scheduling games in the area. They should be in the TRAC with Lima Senior and the other Toledo area schools. There is a league in Eastern Ohio that has teams from D-2 to D-4 in their league.
