With Mother's Day quickly approaching, just wondered what was the best advice she gave you, or, if you happen to be one of the very few mothers I'm aware of here at the RC, what was the best advise you dispersed to your child(ren)?
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all our mothers and their families this weekend!

When I was about 10 I started spitting. She said it was a dirty habit and to quit-so I did and hardly ever spit. (Unusual for someone that spends as much time as I do on a baseball diamond)
I really miss my mom-she was the biggest baseball fan I knew-she loved the game for what it was-not any particular players or team. I'm sure that's where my love of the game comes from.
She also told me that cussing was a sign of a lack of intelligence....so I normally do not cuss.

My mom isn't the "advice" type. She is more the "do it this way" type. Instead of profound pieces of advice, she guided me along and corrected me along the way.
I think a biggy was how to speak correctly. Along with cussing, it makes you less credible the INSTANT you start speaking if you can't do it well.

I'd rather shower at Penn State than root for Michigan.
