I must have not been paying attention because I completely missed this when compiling the scores for the "Las Falcon's" contest this weekend
i saw that McComb covered the 15 pt. spread that I had posted.........

Now I read in yesterday's paper (out of town Friday night) that Leipsic did have a 16 pt. lead on the Panthers in the 2nd half?
and ended up getting beat by 4............I now wish that i would been there for that one :whistling:

Leipsic self-destructed late in the year. Too bad, cause I thought they were one of the top 2-3 teams we had played all year. Very talented and great shooting team. Leipsic hoops had a tough week...

Leipsic had a good team this year, but they sat that old dogs never give up and McComb played like a very old dog Friday night!!!!! The next question is, can the Panthers do it again?

I feel like over the past decade Leipsic and McComb have built one of the better rivalry's in the BVC. It seems like they have played A lot of good games in both both Basketball and Football.

A tale of two games, Leipsic dominated the first half and McComb the second. Although Leipsic scored the first half, many were on 2nd shots. Maag has certainly brought the OG style of pressing and running 10 guys in, sometimes though, I think it works against them as no one ever seems to get into a flow and there is very little ball movement because shots go up so quickly. Leipsic probably shot 20 3's and made only 2, and they were in the last minute of the game.

McComb vs. Arlington Part II.

McComb struggled mightily against Arlington in first matchup of the BVC year. After that game, I said that they would beat a lot of teams as they play their as*** off. However, McComb's lack of size and scorers will make them heavy underdogs in this one. Recker & Blunk creates huge matchup problems. THe past couple of years, McComb has been small - but they had the weapons outside to keep em in it with Roth & a very savvy Andrew Dee inside. No such weapons this year - but I do commend them and Coach Roth for their tremendous effort - which will keep them in most games where the talent differential is not too great.

I like Arlington in a 15-20 point game in this one.

McComb had an average year and beat a good Leipsic team when they weren't playing well. Arlington by 25.
