It sounds like you are not going to let this one rest so I will.
It sounded like it was another classic battle between these
two teams. Best of luck to these two programs as tourney draw is
this weekend.

BigDogg
You are only right if the visiting team scored and took the lead in the top half of the 7th. In that situation Defiance would be allowed their time at bat in the bottom of that inning.

TWO EXCEPTIONS:
1. THE GAME IS TIED. The OHSAA does not permit any baseball game to end in a tie. All games are considered
as “won”, “lost”, or “suspended”. Therefore, a tied game is a “Suspended” game.

OR

2. THE GAME HAS GONE FIVE INNINGS AND THE VISITING TEAM HAS SCORED ONE OR MORE RUNS TO
TIE THE SCORE OR TAKE THE LEAD AND THE HOME TEAM HAS NOT RE-TAKEN THE LEAD AND THE
GAME IS CALLED WHILE AN INNING IS IN PROGRESS BUT BEFORE IT IS COMPLETED.
This game is history, move on. Have you ever heard of beating a dead horse ? There are other games being played.

As of right now OG, Defiance and Wapak are tied for 1st place with one loss each. OG- Wapak play each other tonight with the losing team most likely being out of the running for a league title since Defiance has already played both.

The O-G/Wapak winner is all alone. Defiance goes from 72 straight wins to two straight losses and not even a title..unbelievable.

OG beat Wapak tonight......the titans were down 7-1 with 2 out in the bottom of the 6th. The titans then went on to score 6 runs in that inning. The game was tied through the 8th inning and in the bottom of the 8th OG loads the bases with zero outs and Tanner Schimmoeller drives in the winning run. A great comeback win from a group of guys that never gave up. OG now is guaranteed at least a share of the league title, one loss with only one game to play (@Elida). Defiance, St.Marys all have 2 losses.

Great job by the titans tonight, OG looked dead in the water until 2/3 of the way through the 6th and made a heck of a comeback.

OG has won 5 out of 6 home games...all in their last at bat.

Trailed Bath 5-0 in the first.....won 6-5

Won 1-0 vs Wauseon...scoring in the bottom of 6

Won 6-5 vs Wauseon...scoring in the bottom of 7

Won 2-1 vs Shawnee...scoring in bottom of 7th

Won 8-7 tonight....scoring 6 in the bottom of 6th....and a walkoff single in the bottom of 8.....

Throw in the 2-1....12 inning loss to Defiance and you can't ask for more excitement at the Field of Dreams.....

Home game Monday vs Continental....come out and support the 2014 WBL Champions!!!!

Gotta think tonight's win will make the tourney draw on Sunday real interesting......

I have to think in the new super-sectional format Titans will be one of top 4 seeds, which would guarantee a home game for the sectional finals, so that's really all that would matter. I'm going with L-B, Coldwater & St Hank as being the others in top 4 in no particular order

Congrats to OG winning the WBL title outright with a 4-0 win over Elida. Both teams played a decent game.

Has OG ever won an outright league title?

Great job Titans!

OG's last WBL title in baseball was 1982 when it was a tie for first with Defiance and also a 3 way tie in 1980 with Delphos SJ and St. Mary's.........but Charlei is correct, 2014 is the first outright.

Coach Miller must know what he's doin. Few years ago I know he had an issue because he yelled at kids after a game.

I’m kind of glad O-G won if Defiance couldn’t, nice to see someone new win it. First ever outright title for O-G, only Kenton has never done that now. In fact, Kenton has by far the longest title drought of any sport, in baseball, at 64 years now. O-G had the 2nd longest title drought in WBL baseball. The title streak and win streak end for the Bulldogs (the 7 years ties the 3rd longest outright title streak in all sports), but they did keep alive a streak of top 2 league finishes, for the 23rd straight season, and 20-win seasons, at 16.

That's cause Kenton does seven on seven drills during infield practice

SH 2-1 after 4. A run on a walk, error, and balk.
