After the 1 game disaster yesterday which turned out like we all knew it would, the Reds need the following:

1. A true ace
2. A right handed power hitter that hits at least .280
3. Dusty fired.
3. A clubhouse leader. (Possibly Frazier)

Although they look like a good team, there is just somethiing missing. They are like the beautiful girl who you finally get to go out with you. Then a month later, you realize she has chronic, recurring Bell's Palsy and the walking farts.

1. Mat Latos
2. Good luck, Ludwick is the closest we have, not sure why you can't have a left handed power hitter (Bruce)?
3. Dusty's staying
4. I'm not sure Frazier is your long term 3rd baseman, how can he be a leader? Clubhouse leaders are way overblown.

This is a good baseball team. They were caught in a really good division this year, This team was good offensively, has a great starting staff and relief corp. Arroyo and Choo will be gone next year, replaced by Cingrani and Hamilton. We'll go into 2014 guns a blazin'!

1. Latos, along with Cueto are 2s. I say this because when they start, no one thinks "We are winning this one for sure." However, they will never draw a Free Agent ace unless he is a sinkerballer becasue GAB is to small.
2. They need a RH power hitter because the left handed ones can't hit lefties. Tuesday's loss was a forgone conclusion.
3. I agree Dusty is staying, but they need a change. A manager should lead the team, not be an older brother to the players.
4. I agree that in most cases a clubhouse leader is overblown, but this team is completelt rudderless. Votto tries to work too many walks from run producing position, Phillips is just the opposite, getting in two strike holes, hacking for the fence when he is a 15 20 a year homer guy at best. Cozart swings nearly straight down on balls below his mid thigh away, making his a ground ball machine. Heisey is under a six-year plan for Dusty to figure out if he is a Major Leaguer or not. And Bruce has just now realized that one cannot pull pitches that are low and away. And last but not least: Chapman decided that he did not want to be a starter this year.

Madhouse.

HOOVER!! This guy has lost 10 in a row in relief, and has an ERA over 5.00. He is personally responsible for 1/6 of the total losses this year. The manager says has he has good stuff and will pull out of it.

Arrgghh!!

I don't see Cueto as a 2. He is vastly underrated. For 7 years he has won 60% of his starts, provided the Reds with 30+ "quality" starts/year and has avg'd 6+ innings per start. His career ERA and WHIP are 3.29 and 1.19. Over the last 4 years he has posted ERAs of 2.31, 2.78, 2.82 and this year at 2.07. He is the first player to 15 wins this season. And...he is still only 28 years old.

Yep, I was wrong on that one. One of the best starters in the Bigs
