BERLIN - Division II, 3rd-ranked Hathaway Brown outscored Sylvania Northview, 18-4 in the third quarter to break open a big lead en route to a 52-35 win at the 10th annual Classic in the Country.

The Blazers (12-3) were led by Vanessa Smith's 17 points and seven rebounds. Stephanie Solano added 15 points and also grabbed four steals while Nia Marshall added a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Smith is headed to Princeton next season while Marshall will take her talents to Cornell.

Sophomore Kendall McCoy led the Lady Kats (7-6) with 16 points on just 7-of-19 shooting.

Hathaway Brown led just 15-13 after one quarter before pushing it to 25-19 at halftime and then 43-23 after three quarters.
