Wapak District

Ada, Fort Recovery, Hardin-Northern, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, Perry, Ridgemont, St. Henry, Temple Christian, Upper Scioto Valley, Waynesfield-Goshen

Elida District

Antwerp, Columbus Grove, Continental, Cory-Rawson, Crestview(Convoy), Fort Jennings, Kalida, Leipsic, Lincolnview, Miller City, Ottoville, Pandora-Gilboa, St. John's(Delphos)

Will Perry get the #1 at Wapak? Fort Recovery probably had that wrapped up until they lost 4 in a row including one to Marion Local. #2 seed could go to FR I suppose.

Crestview in Elida District? Not sure about some of those northern teams.

Wapak District

Perry gets #1 and will win the district. The #2 could be a tossup between FR and USV.

Elida District

I"ll go MC #1 Crestview #2

DSJ?? 12-3 with nine straight wins. Have beaten Elida, Shawnee, St. Henry, Minster, Spencerville, Van Wert, Lincolnview... Could be 14-3 by tournament draw. No love? ;)

Teams tend to vote with their conference and the entire PCL is in this district.......so Miller City at 11-4 may get one of the top 2 seeds. St. John's (12-3) has won 10 in a row and probably should get the #1 seed. I know Crestview beat the Blue Jays at Delphos, but the knights may be the odd team out but have an argument for a 1 or 2 seed.

More interesting may be how seed 4- 13 shake out. Pandora- Gilboa 10-5, Leipsic 10-6, Continental 10-7, Ottoville 8-9, Kalida 8-9, Lincolnview 8-11, Ft. Jennings 7-12, Cory Rawson, 7-9, Antwerp 7-10, Grove, 4-13.

with the jumbled mess in the middle/ bottom is a good reason to maybe move these tournament seedings back a week or two and allow some teams to gain some separation.

Don't be surprised if USV falls all the way to 5th. Perry 1, Fort Recovery 2, St. Henry 3, and don't laugh, but Minster 4. Minster may be 8-8 but they gave Wapak their only loss, and defeated a 3 loss Russia team and also Marion Local. I'm befuddled with Minster. They can look like a state champ one night and the next, couldn't even beat Ridgemont. But I think the quality of wins will do it. USV has literally beat nobody of value. At all. Take away the top 3 seeds, this is an absolute garbage district. The reason I predict this, is that on the girls side, 15-6 Ridgemont got the 5 seed. 7-10 New Bremen got the 4 seed, and 8-9 Marion Local got the 3.

Elida district is wide open...half the field could win that district & I wouldn't be shocked. DSJ probably has the best resume & would be my choice for #1, followed by MC then Crestview. As already mentioned, the rest is a toss up. No bad team but no good teams either. CG brings up the rear record-wise, but did beat Kalida and played Crestview tough. C-R probably the weakest of the bunch

"They can look like a state champ one night and the next, couldn't even beat Ridgemont." I love how Ridgemont is the low bar in this comparison. Kind of like using Vanlue or Arcadia with football futility.

DSJ are and should be a #1 seed. Who has a better record? They are running on all cylinders right now.

From all Jays Fans....thanks von.......I agree with you, but have seen many draws turn out completely different than I thought they would......as for DSJ....I have seen them several times and they have improved steadily over the season....as well as they are playing, I think they can even play better.....they are well balanced and can go either inside to the big man or kick it back out for the 3......and they do play excellent defense......

I love March Madness at the high school level!!!!!!

Can't fight the Putnam County politics. Two years ago one of their teams ranked the Jays 6th in the Van Wert/OG bracket. The Jays ended up in the elite 8 that year losing to Wayne Trace for the chance to go to Columbus. Sunday will be interesting and I look forward to seeing how this all shakes out. A very good group of teams but I like the Jays chances to move on.

Ottoville bear Crestview, comparisons mean nothing. DSJ is cooking.

What PCL coach did that? Anyone know the Jays record against PCL teams since then? So many questions, so little time.

Go back and look at who the Jays beat in 2015 on the way to BG. We got even with the coach who felt the need to undervalue our team that year.

D2 ONU District should be decided tonight.....winner of OG - Wapak gets the #1 seed, loser #2 and Upper Sandusky #3. Upper's weak schedule keeps them from being higher. I would say the Elida - Kenton winner (tonight) gets #4, though I think Elida deserves it due to a better schedule. Should be a couple good games at ONU.

Tonight's games do not count. Votei is done on the computer by today at 1 pm I think so the seeds will be done . The only thing they do Sunday is place themselves on the board. It's screwed up this weekends games should count but they don't!!

If memory serves me, DSJ beat Leipsic that year. DSJ has only played 1 PCL school (Oville) this year, with 1 to go (Continental). They typical don't play that many PCL teams in the reg season. (1 or 2/yr) MC has knocked them out of tourney 2 of the past 3 years. Realistic those two teams could meet again this year. Solid district that should produce some fun games

The OG-Wapak game is for the WBL, but will not affect tournament seeding. Not sure why the district board doesn't push this back a week or even further. All of the sites/ dates/ times are set. and like Louisville Slugger said, voting is done by computer and the only reason the coaches meet anymore is to place their team's on a line
