Smiddy's actually already committed to Louisville to pitch lol.

Really interesting for the baseball guys like Smiddy and Detter. Theyve got their next season starting Monday. I think we can forgive them if their head isnt in it early on.

I think the first baseball game is Tuesday. It was supposed to be today but maybe would've been postponed anyway from weather.

By the way Wes Detter, first Defiance athlete to win 2 state titles. He was huge at the end of today's game.

Congratulations to the Defiance Bulldogs for becoming the second team in the WBL to win a state championship in boys basketball from this fan who has seen 3 championships at O-G. Just a tremendous achievement from a team that had some much heart and desire to win it. Teddy and dhsdawg06, I am so happy for you guys; this is such a special moment for you, your fans and in particular Kirk Lehman. When he took over this program it was in dire straights, in some respects had become an afterthought behind baseball and football. It just shows that when someone like Kirk Lehman who is a winner gets a group of kids to buy into his program and his philosophy, that events like this become reality. This program has been knocking on the door for a few years and they finallly kicked the son of a b*tch open. Again congrats to all the blue dogs on an outstanding performance.

Defiance becomes a member of schools with State Championships in Baseball, Basketball and Football. Other Publics that I know of are Patrick Henry and St Henry.
