The Ada Invitational, one of the premier track meets in Northwest Ohio, is tomorrow! There is so much talent coming to the track at Ada:
For the guys, Spencerville and Minster, as well as some talented relays from Van Buren and Bluffton and Drew Trusty from Mohawk.
The girls have track powerhouses Versailles and Minster, plus Spencerville (slightly weakened by the loss of their distance stars, but still will have impact), not to mention Delphos Jefferson, Carey, Bluffton, and some individuals from LCC and Hardin Northern.
As long as the weather holds out, there should be some impressive performances- the regular season is heating up!
One question: Does anyone know if the results from previous years or this year are posted online anywhere?

Could not find any past results online (yet) but did come across some photos from the 2007 meet.
By the way, this year is the 50th Ada Invitational.

We'll be there and looking forward to it. Hope the rain holds off. Haven't seen the Minster girls run in years.

Ada does a nice job with this meet. They keep the events going. It did rain after lunch and made things soggy but when it stopped the wind seemed to die down.
In the girls 100 meter dash two of the top runner did not run. Stump (Hardin Northern) and Benson (Van Buren). Did see Stump run in other events. Not sure why she did not run the 100?
The most exciting relay is the 4x100 but it seems the crowd is 1/2 of what it is at the beginning and this is every meet not just Ada. Not sure why people leave, maybe this race should be moved to the beginning?

Benson was taking it easy due to some pain, I think shins, maybe? But she didn't want to push it... Stump was in the 200, 400, and HJ, so she may have just already had a full plate.
I have not noticed that the crowd is smaller during the 4x1, unless people lose interest during the mile and leave (which doesn't really make sense, because the 1600 isn't that long) plus it's only halfway through the meet. Plus, I would argue that the 4x400 is more exciting because both distance and sprinters can excel, and it's fun with grit, for lack of a better term. Probably a good thing that it's last because unless you're into distance running, the 2 mile is not an extremely exciting specator sport, and that holds the fans there till the end.
The meet was run very smoothly and the competition was great. Lots of records were set or almost set this year.

my mistake Erin4, I ment to say the 4x400 not the 4x100 is an exciting relay but it seems the crowd is 1/2 of what it is at the beginning. The 4x100 is still a good race to watch!

It's a shame Michael Rogers was unable to run for LCC. That kid can fly, and missing your fastest runner certainly hurts the relays he is apart of.
