Brad may be the only Tigers player my wife ever watched games for. :D Some say he was the best looking player of all time!! :D

How do you think he will do in his first managerial position?

I like the hire-liked him as a ball player. He will be about totally opposite of Leyland though as far as being laid-back and letting guys play. I think he'll have some fire to him and may get on players now and then. Might be a good thing.....

I liked it when it was being reported, although I had minor doubts about how well a rookie manager would do when being handed a team this good. But after watching the press conference Sunday, I can't find a single negative about this. He just had all the right answers, and if he can manage to impress BOTH Dave Dombrowski and Tony LaRussa then he's good enough for me.

There's obviously going to be an adjustment period and we'll see how he handles some of the clubhouse stuff that comes up when you have star players. I have a feeling Leyland stopped most of the problems before they ever left the clubhouse and we never knew about them. Ausmus will have to figure out a way to do the same. But as much as I loved Leyland, a fresh young voice can only help this team in the long run.

Also love that he's keeping Lamont and Jeff Jones around. Lamont will be nice to have during those times when he needs advice, and then having not one but TWO guys around that the players know and trust should make the transition and seamless as it possibly can be.

Thank You Seattle. McClendon should have been fired years ago.

I'm not terribly impressed with Brad as manager.
