Very much agreed, not one team is stacked in running events over the other, individual events are out and that only leaves each teams relays to decide who wins.

Yes, and no. It could go both ways with the field events. Looking over the teams for this year not really one team sticks out as a dominate team, Althought ther are some returning guys from various teams that will make this year interesting.

p.s. Word is Bubba Krieg is hitting the track after the disappointing loss to O.G...anybody who is familiar with LCC sports knows the kid is an athlete and definitely could help out those relays.

If im not mistakin ..rogers ran i think a 10.98 last yr nd johnson ran a 11.01 and they are coming back alot faster and stronger lil rogers is probably about 11 flat if not fast and bubba kreig close to that i put my money on lcc with no doubt ..cray thing about it is that they could careless about the conference they want that state title more than anything but they want to break that 4x1 conference record and they said they will

Columbus Grove will be very good as far as field events are concerned. Wolfe is pretty much an automatic first at every meet in pole vault. Kohls went 6'4" in the high jump last year, making it to state, and he is back. Grothaus jumped just under 20' in the long jump last year as a sophomore......he should easily hit 20' this year. Their strongest and deepest field events are the shot and disc. They have 4 seniors who will throw 140+ in disc, and 2 sophomores at 130+. Parker Schroeder threw 49' in the indoor season and should make it above 50' in the shot, with 5 others over 40'. They will likely sweep most meets in these 2 events, and should easily win at Bearcat relays (and possibly break the discus record). They are very solid in their relays and distance events on the track as well. The sprinting events are probably their biggest weakness.

I think that Bluffton is looking strong. Their boys' distance relays are dominating the field right now, and their 4x200 is right up there also. They also have the hurdler, Luginbuhl, as well as another who's a close second. Individually, they have a lot of guys.
LCC, Spencerville, and Grove, of course, will be strong as well. It should be a good meet to watch.

From what I remember seeing throughout the track season, these are some of Spencerville's bests:
-They are pretty solid in running mid-45 second 4x100 relays with their A-team. I could see them dropping that to sub-45.
-Thier 4x200 relay is alright, nothing special. It seems they run about a 1:34-1:36 pretty consisitantly with their A-team.
-They run right around a solid 3:40 4x400 every meet.
-They have four kids running sub-55 second 400s.
-They are alright in the 100m and 200m dash category. Nobody blazing fast, but three kids ranging from 11.4-11.7 in the 100.
-They have two high jumpers who have both jumped 6'2".
-Their hurdler, Meyer, seems to be very good.
-They have one good long jumper, whom I am guessing we all have heard of: Binkley. Besides him, they have two able to jump 18'.
-They seem to have a bit of strength in the distance with the Lenhart brothers, aswell as their 4x8 team.
-They lack in pole vaulting and shot put, but have one athlete who throws 130'+ in discuss.
Spencerville seems to have a pretty solid track team, just like Bluffton and Grove. It will come down to a margin of very little between the three teams to decide the NWC championship, easily.
I can't wait. GREAT competition.
