Ottoville does not have a game closer then 20 till state.

20 minutes, 20 people, or what? They beat Jefferson 50-35, so I'd take that bet...especially with DJ and DSJ in their bracket.

Ottoville's most redeeming value is the Siefker girl who is without a doubt better than most everybody else with her height....with that said, seeing a lot of athletic and guard oriented teams, it only takes 1 hot night from a shooting team and a slightly off night in terms of shooting/rebounding from the Siefker girl and Ottoville could go down, much less win by 20.

Very true but that Jefferson game was around a 20 point lead at one point in time, Jefferson just happened to have scored some points late to keep it under 20 but it doesnt matter because I agree with you. I don't see them rolling over teams in the tournament. Jefferson/St Johns will give them a game like they always do you can count on that.

I've seen the Siefker girl not even score 10 points before and they still won by 15-20 points or even more. Is she valuable for the team? Definitely. But I wouldn't say she is the most redeeming value. She has had her off nights before and the team still performs well. Heck I've seen her on the bench at times and the team goes on a run. I think what is undervalued here is her teammates. The most redeeming value I think they have is their ability to shoot the ball and play good/clean defense. But you are right, all it takes is a team to catch fire and a team to have an off night, not just Siefker, the team. No doubt about it are they beatable, because they will have their hands full starting that first district matcup.

Let's face the music here. Sure Ottoville has had a fantastic season, and they are a quality team, but in the NW Ohio sectional and district there are some of the finest teams in the state. I am a BIG Big Green fan, but things happen in the tournament. I only want the best for Ottoville, but you can not look ahead. D-4 is the toughest in my opinion. Plus the season is not over yet. Is the DSJ-Ottoville game on the radio tomorrow night? Thanks

Siefker biggest asset is her ability to rebound more so than scoring really. She could 0 points but if she is pulling down 15 rebounds, it's just as valuable. Ottoville has a strong team all around, but she is definitely the main cog in their engine when she can rebound and kick it out.

Any ideas why the Paulding/Oregon Districts have a Regional game at ONU and the final at Ontario? The other side of the bracket has both games at Ontario. :shrug2:

Travel time is the issue. The OHSAA in the past few years are looking at the travel time and travel costs. If these two districts would draw the late game starting around 8:15. The probably wouldn't get home until after midnight on a school night. The other two districts are closer to Ontario and their time was moved to a 7pm start. Parents and fans have an better chance of getting there on time and they do not have to leave work to early. I understand the ONU winner will get a practice on the court because the Ontario semi-final winner would have played a game on the court. I am disappointed because I won't get to see all four teams on the same night.

Ya I can agree with that. She just needs to be more physical and want to score more thats the thing.
