Looking forward to being back at BGSU on Tuesday night. I know what my Bluejays bring but can anyone tell me what Holgate has?

mad.....I know that they beat Ayersville twice, but also lost to Continental at home by 3...also beat Kalida by 7 at home....beat a terrible Fort Jennings team by 12 at home and were drilled by Wayne Trace at home by 22.....I think they are very disciplined and are patient to take the good shot.....not as bad as when Wayno was their coach......by looking at their scores I feel that they play really good defense.......they will be a challenge for the Jays, but I think we can play with them......at this stage in the game, all teams will present a challenge!!!!!

I was quite surprised that Holgate beat Ayresville, but what do I know. Holgate must have really improved. What will they do? Speed it up or slow it down. I'm taking the Blue Jays, Flounder.

Here's Holgate's roster. Schedule and results are here also.

We'll talk about St. Pete's Wednesday morning if needed. :)

This is the year Holgate finally gets the blue jay monkey off of our backs. Defense, Defense, Defense.

I like DSJ in a close one. Holgate has surprised me. They don't pass the look test and I saw them play a game during the season where they just didn't look good at all. They must be putting it together and I have heard they have been shooting it very well. I wouldn't be shocked if Holgate pulls it out, but I have DSJ by 8.

I read St Peter's has a coaches kid who is a stud. It sounds like they should beat North Baltimore and will be a tough matchup for whoever wins this one tonight. I am looking forward to a good night of basketball and am glad the weather isn't going to postpone the games.

Delphos St. John's wins 40-25 in what sounded like a scintillating atmosphere at the Stroh Center at BGSU. St. John's will now take on Mansfield St. Pete for a trip to state.

I'm impressed with Tim Kreeger. 2nd game I've seen him in person. He's impressive.....seems smart.....makes good decisions and is wiry strong. Doesn't force it when the post is covered and is a terrific passer!!! Great on the kick out pass to his perimeter shooters, and if he doesn't grab the rebound......he keeps many possessions alive with his leaping ability which allows him to deflect balls out front to teammates to keep the ball in the Blue Jay's hands. He's tough and under rated in my book!

Holgate can make you play ugly Flounder. I thought the Jays wore them down with their depth and shooters. Survive and advance. Friday will be tough, but if DSJ shoots the ball well like they can, I think they'll be right there. Need to slow Mansfield St Pete's down some

I agree with you, but the Jays must shoot it better....I was told that St Pete's played only 5 guys!!!

Was told earlier that if both the Jays and Perry keep winning, they could face off in the state final! I hope so, what a statement for Allen County!
