The Raiders today fired first year head coach Hue Jackson after he led them to an 8-8 season and was one win from securing a playoff spot. Jackson, the former Bengals assistant he was often touted as the man behind Carson Palmer's development into an elite quarterback until he left (and Palmer subsequently fell apart), brought Palmer into the fold with the Raiders after starting QB Jason Campbell was hurt in Oakland's win over the Browns.
With Jacksonville apparently in discussions with Jay Gruden, the Bengals current offensive coordinator, about the head coaching position, any Bengals fans out there want to see Jackson back in Cincinnati as the OC if Gruden leave? Heck, if Gruden stays, find a spot as a WR coach or something!

Setting records for penalties does not speak well for a coach's effectiveness. The Bengals seemed pretty effective as is this year.

And...the Bengals have hired Hue Jackson as an assistant! Maybe a bit of paying him for helping the team land two high picks for Carson Palmer
