Coldwater is tough this year. They have a great upperweight class. Im not a wrestler but i like watching it. I know for celina Nick Gray is coming off from a broken leg and wrestled last night. He's 2-0. Qualified for districts 2 years in a row as a freshman and soph. Eric Braun is also a very good wrestler. He's currently 15-2.

The Claymont Mustangs are tough this year, their first loss of the year was handed to them this weekend by Ravenna Southeast and they lost by 3, Southeast is state ranked and stands at 6-1 while the Claymont Mustangs should be state ranked some time by the end of the season and are 4-1 currently.

lol since you are practiclly begging me, i guess

Warren Local has always been the team in SE but this year have started to fall they have a great coach in martin santini not sure of any stats though, im not a huge wresling nut, sorry warren was always THE team but ever since we had a loss in the family 3 years ago (a player was in conditioning and collapsed and died because his dr thougth he had asthma and it was a more serious problem" but the boys rallied and did great that year for him but ever since it seems like it has gone down...warren used to be on top for as long as i can remember back

Coldwater Wrestlers are having a very successful year. We traveled to Archbold for the their duals tournament this weekend and took home the championship trophy. Heard they have won the tournament every year....until this year. Yeah! Defeated teams like Montpelier, Tinora, Elmwood, Archbold and Division 1 Garfield Heights for the Championship match. Coldwater's B Team placed 2nd at the Lima Senior Tournament. Congratulations Coldwater Wrestlers!

Also wanted to comment on the great year the Coldwater wrestlers have going. Both the A and B team have a solid line up.

Can't wait to see how they come out on the two day LCC 31 team tournament this weekend. Last year they took second place to Bluffton and hopefully will come out on top this year.

Good luck cav wrestlers!!

My crusaders are running strong right now. They beat Lakota East 67-0 last night in a dual. They have a tri match this weekend with #10 Paris Graham, while Moeller comes in at #7(both rankings are national, not state).

Congrats to Coldwater on a first place finish at the LCC tournament.

This was a well run 30 team tournament with all (or most) Div. III schools. A good practice for sectionals and districts.

Coldwater had 6 wrestlers make the podium.
Kenny Platfoot 3rd
Marty Hemmelgarn 5th
Bryce Schlater 2nd
Andy Schmidt 2nd
Tyler Kunk 3rd
Lucas Homan 3rd

Anyone know the school lineup for this weeks Lions Invite at Celina??

Our school has it and it doesnt really do much for me.
Brian Fantana: That was one crazy party. I am hung over.
Champ Kind: I woke up on the floor of some Japanesse family's living room, and they would NOT stop screaming!
Brick Tamland: I ate a big, red candle.

It was recently announced in The Courier that the 4 BVC schools ( Arcadia, Cory-Rawson, McComb and Van Buren ) will be part of a new wrestling league with 3 Toledo area schools ( Cardinal-Stritch, Northwood and Toledo Christian )

This new league will be called the "Ohio Wrestling League" or OWL for short. The 06-07 season will have a conference tournament with dual and tri matches starting in the 07-08 season.

This should be a great opportunity for the BVC kids to finally have a chance to win a conference title again. smile.gif
