This sectional (along with its volleyball counterpart) is Exhibit A on why the Northwest District needs to get its head out of the sand and explore a super-sectional.

Agreed. 2 teams will be done after Saturday. 2 teams that could win Districts in other areas.

oh, where to start......

this statement woulda been more interesting if you would have said, 'slice, will give a cookie to anyone that finds the one mis-spelled word.... ..( i hate that!!!)' so that i could've seen if you really knew how to correctly spell it!

i hope you're not borderline suicidal 'cause this just might push you over the edge if you hate misspelled (no hyphen) words, you'll be none too happy with this correction! :wedgie: lol :D

I couldn't agree more. However, I don't see it happening unless the State gets involved and requires all Sectionals to be formated the same way. I have talked with a prior member of the Northwest District and asked why the Northwest District doesn't go to a SuperSectional format. The reply I received was that the Northwest District does not have suitable venues. I immediately countered that by saying, there's Elida, Van Vert, Lima Sr., almost any of the MAC schools, just to name a few. He then said, well they would have to be willing to host 3-4 games a day. Once again I countered and said, hmmm, I can cash in on parking, concessions, and some of the gate for 3-4 games in one day.... As my username states, I am from the MAC, and when I said, well I know anyone in the MAC would be all for a SuperSectional.... He said, yes, I know, but noone else wants it. That right there is the whole reason why there in not a SuperSectional in the Northwest District. The MAC usually does a great job at representing the Northwest District. Back to the subject at hand, if I was a non-MAC school in Girls Division IV Basketball, why not let the MAC schools beat up on each other and eliminate 4 right out of the gate. I am not asking for favoritism, just fairness. The MAC makes up just a tiny bit of the Northwest District. Do you think all those other schools are going to vote for a SuperSectional knowing that means there is a very distinct possibility they could face an MAC school in round one or two? I would love to be proven wrong, but I just don't see the Northwest District moving to a SuperSectional on their own - I think the State needs to come in and just dictate that all districts have the same format.

I know those NWC wussies won't vote for a super sectional......if they kick LCC out of the NWC for fear of losing, I am sure they won't vote for a super sectional!!!!!!!!

I feel there is quite a bit of difference between misspelling a word in a sports article and misspelling a word in a post on a message board. My gosh-you really don't want to go around checking people's spelling….I see several just in the few posts here.....

My excuse…the games were late on Tuesday….so I went to bed without writing the article, then wrote it at work the next day. (Don't tell my boss) I still did it in a hurry because, well, I am busy.

And i always get that mis-spell, misspell whatever it is wrong........so shoot me!!
