Well I guess all that needs to be decided is who takes over at the City.

I do believe that you have forgotten about the buckeye club. This is where all the new power Brokers from miller city hangout. It has been mentioned on another thread That an assistant coach from van wert is interested In making a move to the varsity Ranks.

If that is the case, then Keith Utendorf is in for a busy summer. He and his fiance are getting married in August, they just bought a house in Delphos (halfway between each other jobs). I just do not know if it is in the cards right now. From a logistical standpoint considering the location of their future home the job at Parkway would have made more sense. Right now I think Miller City is out of the question unless he can obtain a teaching job there, and sell the house they just purchased.

let's look at this a little closer........

when the current MC coach is named as the new head coach at OG (120 hours and counting)
what is the best scenario that could happen for the Wildcats?

JV coach moves up the ranks?
Kerry Johnson returns to lead MC?
ex-girls varsity assistant takes the helm?
ex-Continental coach makes the move?
one of the many Kalida assistants takes their chances?
TVS returns to coach closer to home?
ex PH HOF coach comes out of retirement?

give me your thoughts...............RM

Add one more option to the mix. P-G's coach Josh Klear takes the job to move home.

Hunter,
I don't believe that a teaching job will present itself........that will probably preclude
Mr. Klear from returning to the homefront except to partake of the many offerings at the
Buckeye Club.......

I'm sure other names will surface and I'll defer to McGuy's analysis wink.gif

Marc Smith from Delphos Jefferson. I think he wants out of there badly. Plus I am thinking he interviewed at MC the time Pester got the job.

Lack of a teaching position at Miller City, or even anywhere close could hinder some people from throwing their names into the ring.

Is any of the ######istants currently at OG willing to make the move to the head coach ranks? It would be my guess that someone like Brad Schumaker is close to being ready to take over his own team. Then again I also know that he loves what is coming up through the OG system right now, pair that with coaching with Ty Mac and maybe he hasn't even considered it. It will be interesting to see what kind of names start floating around as applicants, that is once the OG situation becomes finalized.

This late in the game, with no teaching openings, the wildcats will probably hire someone locally. My top two candidates at MC, in no particular order, would be JV coach Brian Kuhlman or as$'t coach Aaron Lammers.

While this would be a good coup...your information is wrong on both accounts. Smith thought he wanted Columbus Grove since he went there. When Grove made their choice, Jefferson caught a nice break. I believe that Smith will be here for an extended period of time.

I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Since he is a graduate of Miller City and somewhat of a hometown hero, I would say the job is Aaron Lammers to lose. Knows the game, has a rapport with the kids from what I have heard and I would say would be part of a smooth transition into the 2011-2012 season. A lot depends on other factors including teaching openings which I have heard are none, so I would say Aaron Lammers is the man.

I will go with the current JV coach Bryan Kuhlman.

With that being said, would Maag be interested in this opening?

in a word.........no

with all of the business activity happening in Leipsic the Vikings will continue to see
an influx in athletes into the district.......

MC does not have this luxury and if the new governor has his druthers these small
schools will see some sort of consolidation in the next 5-6 yrs........RM

might I throw out the name Al Welch? wink.gif .......

The RC was contacted this evening with some stunning news........

There seems to be a power grab going on in the City with the
BOE members starting to flex their considerable weight......

all of the names mentioned, sans Welch are good bets but if past
experience means anything it could be someone from out of the public
eye who gets the nod.........RM

the dominoes are starting to fall.........
there seems to be a bit of a power struggle in the City tonight
as the old money Macarena's crowd is pitted against the
young professional crowd from the Buckeye Club.....
this could prove very interesting as all the patrons of the two
establishments will have their own ideas on who might be the best
choice............if'n a MC boy isn't selected for the top job, I would suspect
some changes made come November.........zoooom

RC Has recently learned that Tyson Has been offered the position And has accepted. He will begin his duties After taking the wildcats to toledo this weekend.

when the RC predicted the 120 hours (5 days) timeline, we were not aware of the scheduled
upcoming vacation for the superintendent.........now that this news has been posted by
official media sources we can now go about our business of naming the next VB head coach wink.gif
of course, this will also be before it can be reported officially
