[Rocketman]

As someone who enjoyed the 70's and 80's immensely, tonight brings two of my favorite bands/artists of that era to the Huntington Center in Toledo....we got tickets a few weeks ago and tonight we are heading up there around 4:00pm to take in the show.....

Now I realize that Seger might have lost a bit of his swagger, and J. Geils probably can't
find their shoes in the morning much less "First I look for the purse" but I'm pretty sure
that they will bring together an eclectic crowd that will enjoy their songs from yesteryear..

If you were born in the 60's, you can't help but recognize Seger's voice...an iconic musician
who just transcends time even to today.....the J. Geils Band might not have the panache but
they certainly weren't without their own flavorful twist on things either.....we'll be eating
before the concert and then heading downtown....the four of us are really looking forward to
tonight and I hope that I see a few of the oldtimers around the RC there......RM

Great show Tuesday night......J Geils played all their favorites but definitely are on the downside..

Seger was awesome, but he's getting up there like many of us.....average age of the audience?
I put it at 60.....none under 21 (unless with their parents OR grandparents) and less than a handful under 30...

Oh gosh!!! (One of) my greatest dreams all combined, ever!!

I won't bore y'all with my previous stories, again, but, briefly:
J. Geils was my first concert with Red Rider as opener.
Tried to get into see bob seger (I was prolly like 12 trying to pass for18) and failed.... lol ended up just partying at the park on benches. Lol

Man, that woulda been a concert!! Lots of good rock and roll....foreigner is coming to Lima here soon.,..I used to visit the civic center regularly for musicals... Gonna see if I can get my bf to take to the foreigner concert....??
