The name says it all. By the way how many were strikes?

Since it was his own son I'll give some slack...but if mine....there's a reason most MAJOR leaguers are on the 100-120 pitch count....AND get 4 days before starts......

Well, I guess I can add my 2 cents as well. From what I know, it was not 150 pitches. The total that was made available to me was 122. Sitting here on the outside, and not having any dog in the fight, I see that he had 14Ks, 6BB. I also see that the team had 7 errors behind him. Those errors usually contribute to many unearned runs that shouldn't be blamed on the pitcher. I also see that Stryker has a couple AllState type of players that Dockery did well against. The sheet I see has Stryker with 5 hits. Not a shelling.
As an area baseball supporter, I also know that Dockery plays 3 seasons of Ball each year. I also assume he throws in the winter to get his arm in shape earlier than the basketball crossover kids. So, 122 pitches for him, in April, is different than a basketball crossover kid.
My advice for Dockery. Having followed Rocketcorner for some years now, as well as Putnam County baseball in general is this. "You will never have support in baseball in the Continental community. That is a basketball community. The community has not supported any of your recent Program success. Burke was an All State selection and got little to no mention it community accolades. I think the Program won double digit games for the first time in 20+ years a couple years ago, and still no support. If I were Dockery, I would begin to use his son in a limited role and allow him to peak in summer leagues. Putnam County League high school baseball does very little, if any, to prepare a player for College baseball. Most of the PCL players of the year do not even play college ball. "
The funny thing about baseball support in Continental is that they don't care weather you go 5-20 or 20-5.
