Tis the season. Here come the flurry of seasonal articles about small towns who get behind their high school basketball teams........this may be the epitome of lazy journalism. I think they re-write these articles every year and just change the names/ locations.

Does not happen very often in Putnam County, so I hope they all have a great time supporting the Lady Big Green. Bring it home....

Yea, that was pathetic. I do think OV can win semi, but they don't have the guards to win State imo.

Does not happen very often? Ottoville and OG girls have been there 11 times in the past 25 years. Boys FJ in 2000, OG in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2013. Kalida 2009, Leipsic 2013, Continental in 2005 and 2011, Grove in 2006.

This is just teams from Putnam county, throw in teams from Allen, Van Wert, Auglaize and mercer county. Sounds like an opportunity for numerous articles of this type every March.

Well even if that were true, they don’t need to. Do realize that if they were to win the semi, they would face Minster. Really good team yes, but that’s a winnable game for them seeing how they nearly beat them during the season despite the “lack of guards” you say they seem to have.

No object is mysterious. The mystery is your eye.

Flounder,
The last live interview I gave was at the classic in the country about six years ago..... I had multiple people running voice recognition software trying to match me up....ol’ JJ even used his connections with the Columbus police department when we broke the Chris Adams story to find out my identity....nowadays it would be much easier I’d guess.....

That is the topic of discussion right now out in the parking lot and my buds are not optomistic about a championship. At the championship level they said their guards may not have it and not enough depth on the bench.

Personally I'm going with mysterio's thoughts.

Go Green!!!!!!

I believe every school in Putnam Co (sans PG, maybe this year??) has had a team qualify for state in bball, either boys or girls, since 2000.

MC girls went to State in 2004. Lost to Mansfield St. Peter's in Semi's. They lost to Holgate in Regional Finals in 2003.

The magical ride the Ottoville girls gave to Big Green nation is over after falling to Minster 63-48. Game was close until the 4th quarter when Bridget Landin had to leave the game with an injury and then the Big Green fell apart, 7 turnovers in the 4th qtr. did them in.

Will Ottoville ever get over the hump? Tough losing a key player to injury.
