MSML 45 McComb 14... McComb barely beat a mediocre DSJ team. Sounds like McComb has a big head right now. Don't let it get to you Friday or we will see you crying on here Saturday.
No way the margin of victory is that big.

I'd rather shower at Penn State than root for Michigan.

Lol just because DSJ was down doesn't mean the D6 MAC powers were all down. Minster had their most-successful season a loooong time. St Henry made the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Both of these teams were beaten by Marion Local, the defending state champions who have only lost 2 games (to D5 schools). DSJ was down. The D6 MAC powers as a whole were not.

BlueJay, I'm not trying to start a war or anything but how exactly can a DSJ team be considered "down" when they have what 60 some kids if not more on a division 6 team to choose from?

The talent level, overall, may not have been quite as high this year. That's all, really. You can have a 40-player team who is head and shoulders above a 60-player team, because numbers aren't the only thing that matters.

If memory serves me correctly, they had 90 on the roster two and three years ago. In comparison to those recent years they are down.

Rumor has it that enrollment has been down at DSJ, although I don't know if that's true or not. At any rate, it's not down THAT much. Like Wilco said though, numbers aren't the only thing that matters. IE: Hardin Northern when they won state.

Numbers ARE down. I know there are about 45-50 kids in the 5th grade and below.
