You don't understand why Defiance wouldn't try something DIFFERENT during the course of a game? Oh my... how dare you question the preparation and improvisational abilities of the Defiance coaching staff! Shame on you!

Don't you realize that the Defiance coach has over 300 wins in his career (300 divided by 25 years = 12 wins /year! Wow!). Never mind the fact that almost 20% of those wins came in the last THREE years alone.

They are always prepared for the really big games! So well prepared that they don't need a Plan-B or Plan-C.

LMAO!!! Just a wee bit of sarcasm!
I am a Spartan, as was my father before me.

Dakota doesn't always play in the post and Aric Thompson never plays in the post. After that, Defiance had a decidedly huge size advantage. I know why Pearson didn't play much last night, but not at liberty to go into specifics. Part of it had to do with him being sick all week. I really hope Defiance learns from this, I think they can make a good tourney run. Hopefully they just don't shoot as horrible as last night and they don't forget they do have some good post players.

Even if there is a size advantage, I wouldn't call it huge. Mathias still gets plenty of rebounds and I bet Thompson gets a share too. I will say that just from eyeballing it always seems like whatever the roster says for players' sizes, Defiance players never seem to look taller than the other team. Plus, if there was a size advantage in the post, Mathias had a size advantage in the backcourt. But, regardless of this, both teams were pretty even in terms of open 3-point shot attempts and getting to the basket for higher percentage shots, in terms of opportunities. It was simply not a good game for whatever reason, for Defiance's shots to not go in.
