Day 3 from the CITC promises to be another great day of basketball and remembrance....this
event was started 12 years ago in part to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King...it has
done an outstanding job of accomplishing this, in addition to providing the opportunity to
showcase some of the finest talent that the state of Ohio has to offer.....

Josh will be along later to give his customary updates along with his great insight about the
games to be played....the RC wants to thank him for taking the "bull by the horns" to get
this information back here to NW Ohio.....

As far as our journey, let's just say that it was a very eventful weekend....Flounder and I
thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as usual....Slicer looked spent when we dropped her off last
night, so we don't know for sure what she thought of her first trip to the CITC......enjoy
the rest of this weekend.......thanks RM

Good morning from the Perry Reese Jr. Memorial Center for the final day of the Classic in the Country XII. Today's opening matchup is very intriguing as Hathaway Brown, who once won five consecutive Division II state championships, battles Chippewa, the #1 team in Division III. This is the second season HB is removed from its five state titles and struggled last season to a 1-21 record. The Blazers are much improved this season though.

Hathaway Brown will start Hanna Harlor, Mackenzie Berk, Dani Lawson, Jordan Elhindi, and Christina Passerell. The Blazers have no seniors and just one junior (Elhindi) on the team. This is however, coach Paul Barlow's final season at the helm of Hathaway Brown. Barlow has already accepted the position of athletic director at Rocky River Magnificant for next year.

Some internet issues but I'm back. Hathaway Brown scored the first bucket on a 3-pointer from Elhindi but Chippewa responded with the next three. Harlor just drained two free throws to put HB back up.

Just like yesterday's opening game, there are about 30 college coaches here for this one. Any of Hathaway Brown's girls could be being watched (Lawson is headed to Purdue though).

It's to my understand that Chippewa and Berlin Hiland play next Monday night... Another turnover by HB and the Chippewa lead is 21-14.
